Nathan and Gizelle are here!

Hi mommies!! Sorry for not updating but things have been realli crazy in our household for the past week!! Although I had an arranged C-section to be on the 10th Dec, it seems like Nathan and Gizelle would rather give daddy and mummy an early Christmas prezzie!! On 30th Nov nite, I had closer and closer contractions and I called up the L&D and they adviced me to go in. I was only 35w4d then and thus my stand-in gynae (my own gynae has a hand operation just the day before!! Imagine my worries!!) told me that she's gonna try to stop the contraction and see how we go. So I was in the L&D the entire night, fighting back contractions and finally it stopped. I was warded for observation and the day passed with 1-2 contractions which wasn't too worrying.

Came 8.30pm in the evening, the tightness started and never stopped for a good 30min! I was in such pain, contractions were 6min apart and very strong. I was pushed back to the L&D and put on drip to try to stop the contractions again. Spent the entire night there again, but this time round the drip didn't do me any good and when the gynae came in in the morning, I was still having contractions every 6-8mins. She decided that we will go in for an emergency c-section cos Gizelle is still transversed while Nathan's legs down.

So in I went at 11.45am, and their birth time are 11.52am and 11.53am!! When I woke up, the first thing I asked,'where's my tummy?' All the nurses in the recovery room laughed and said,'Your babies are out and so is your tummy darling!!' Only then I asked how's my babies!! :rotflmbo:

Nathan is the elder brother, but he weighs lesser than Gizelle. Nathan's 2030g and Gizelle's 2330g. They're both pretty small but its pretty significant that Nathan's smaller than Gizelle. I'm praying for them to grow up fast!!!

We're now all back home and boy, am I tired!! I had to breastfeed every 3 hrly, and still require formula to supplement both of them. I'm hoping that I'll have more b/milk so I can cater to both their needs!!

Thank you everyone!! I'm enjoying them to the fullest everyday! Each day is so different, and they surprises me with new things, smile and facial expressions everyday. Awww...how am i ever gonna go back to work!?

As for their weight in pounds...i think its Gizelle 5.1lb and 5lb for Nathan
