Oh my gosh...my sweet little snuggly Nathan has picked up a couple of not so attractive habits this last week or so!

1st - he has found his teeth and has decided that he likes to use them....ON ME! He comes up to me all cute and sweet and bites the heck out of me!! OUCH! It's to the point that I don't trust him at all. When he comes up I am on guard and don't let him get his face near me. His favorite place is my thigh when I am sitting on the floor with them. Comes up and CHOMP!

2nd - What's with the headbutting? It's kinda funny at first, and he is all giggly, but doesn't it hurt them as much as it hurts us?? He just sits there and BONK BONK BONK over and over again!

3rd - Where did he learn to scream at the top of his lungs until someone picks him up?!?! He has never done this before. His crys were actually kind of sweet, like his puppy just died, sad and mournful. Now he opens his mouth as big as he can and screams!!! UUGHH! My head hurts!

Does anyone else's little ones have such unattractive habits? What did you do about the biting? Thats gotta stop, but I don't know how. I know he isn't trying to hurt anyone, he is just trying out the chops.

Okay, I am done complaining now. :D:D

Well I can tell you what my grandfather did to me to get me to stop biting..... Apparently he was sleeping on the couch one day when I decided to walk up to him and try out my own new chompers..... He promptly bit me right back!! :D After that I never bit anyone again - at least according to my mother. :p

Now - I wouldn't suggest doing it when anyone else is around watching - CPS might be knocking on your door... LOL

GL with everything else, Sorry I can't offer much advice as mine are still pretty young.

I would suggest you ignore him when he does these things or direct his attention to something else like a toy or something. This probably won't work the first or second time but after a little he'll figure out that it doesn't get a reaction from you and stop.
Half the fun of these behaviours for hiim is the fact that he can get a reaction from you. Negative and positive attention are just as good for him so whether you're laughing or yelling it's probably the same to him.
    Good luck!

Oh! So is my Noah.....it never stops. It not even a scream it a constant YAHHHHHH at the top of his lungs while he is playing or learning a new skill. Right now he has learned to pull himself up and he will stand for 20-30 minutes at a time at the coffee table or walker just going YAHHHHHH!!!!! After a while I think even his brother would like him to hush. :D

My son is all of a sudden a HUGE screamer too! (age 8 months) I am going to try to ignore it tomorrow to see if he stops, or give him a toy to play with instead of picking him up. Wish me luck!
