Narrowed down to four....we think.

Hello, I'm new here...just discovered this forum...and are expecting twin girls in hopefully 5 weeks!
We think we have the names narrowed down to four choices, but we want to keep it a secret from family and friends so I come here seeking the opinion from strangers.

Samantha
Nora
Teagan
Hailey

Of those I feel Hailey is the most popular, but we have liked it for a couple years so it's hard to throw it out.

Why not use all 4 names with 2 as middle names??

love that idea.. and theres some beautiful combinations there using all 4 names.

I like Samantha and Hailey the best. I like the idea of using all 4 names in different combinations.

 

I think we might be going with Samantha and Teagan. My wife likes Samantha because you can shorten it to Sam. Teagan was a new name added to our list in just the last couple weeks and it's growing on us pretty fast. I sent a list of a whole bunch on girls names, with the four we liked, to my sister to get her thoughts on all the names and of course the one name she told us not to use was Nora because she wants it. She is about a month behind my wife, but didn't find out the sex of the baby....so she may not even be able to use it! Oh well, not worth the risk.

 

They're all nice. I agree, though, that Hailey is too popular for my taste.
I think Samantha and Teagan go well together.
I also like Teagan and Nora, but still think Samantha and Teagan "match" better.

 

I like Samantha and Teagan. Nora is becoming more and more popular I find lately, whereas Samantha and Teagan not so much, so they'll be the only ones in their class with those names.

 

Funny thing we just found out is that our neighbor's 1yr old is named Nora. We are in a new home and have only talked to our neighbors a couple times. They gave us a card the other day with all their names (4 kids) on it and number to call if we have to go to the hospital in the middle of the night (to watch our 2yr old until our helper arrives). So that info takes Nora off the list. Probably won't be too much longer now, my wife is 2cm and on bed/couch rest at 33.5 weeks. It's only been a day and she is already going crazy just laying around.

 

I love Samantha (obviously) and Teagan. Awesome names!

Tell you wife to hang in there, at this point each day gives you a better chance at a better outcome. And really what's three weeks of your life in exchange for healthy kids?

 

Thought I would come back and update....Mom was induced and the twins arrived on 02/22. Samantha Joy was first at 1:43pm 6lbs 4oz 20" long. Teagan Mae came second at 2:09pm 5lbs 11oz 19.5" long. Teagan had to be turned a bit, but both delivered with no issues and was actually pretty easy----my wife's words. Everyone is happy and healthy and will be going home tomorrow.

 

Those are my 2 favorite also!
