Narrow feet?

The last 3 times I've bought shoes (stride rite, preschoolians, and carters).... All 3 are way to wide. The kids feet are gapping in the front (they all happen to be mary jane type styles w/ one velcro strap). And the back of their foot is popping out. Length seems to be okay. What brands should I be shopping for??? Which brands offer twin discounts? I like the concept of the preschoolians, but can't find the right style that'll work for my kids.

    thx for any advice.

I got some converse for Eloise from zappos.com and they were really narrow. I've had the same problem, and these worked great. Besides that, they were sooo adorable!

did you email preschoolians? they might be able to suggest a style that will fit better?

yes, i chatted w/ preschoolians, they suggested a few other styles. but i'm not thrilled with those. it's really disappointing cuz their twin discount is awsome. not sure what to do now. i know there are some preschoolian fans, anyone able to find narrower styles?

i'm really, really not wanting to spent $50+ each on shoes for them to get ruined at preschool.

T&T have narrow feet and Preschoolians basically told me that they don't make shoes for the 5% of toddlers with narrow feet (take a flying leap, in other words). The little inserts don't make enough of a difference. Stride Rite makes a few styles in narrow sizes but you're very limited (they have one for boys). I find they can get away with wearing a medium width in most shoe styles with laces and I look for sandals with straps that adjust across the foot rather than only at the ankle. I completely avoid brands that tend to run wide (Pediped, Umi, Vans... to name a few)

One of my DDs has narrow feet- we had a HARD time finding sneakers! Finally one brand of Sketchers we found at Kohls. Their Munchkin by stride rite also seems to fit well w/ socks.

We also had a pair on Converse and as PP said- they were OK and we could tighten the laces to fit better!

I forgot to say that some of the online shops let you search for sizes specifying that you want narrow width so you can see exactly what's available.
