This is probably a VERY stupid question, but is there any way of getting the poop out before naps? We've been having napping issues here. I firmly believe that both of mine still benefit from naps, although one is on his way out... but he saves his poopy diapers for after I put him down for nap. It is consistant. :( It is driving me crazy 8P ) There are many other issues, but this one is just so 'planned' it seems! Like I said.. probably a stupid question. Reasoning with him doesn't help! LOL

I sympathize with you! Sofia does this almost everyday. Usually it's toward the end of nap, but almost everyday it's the same thing. If it happens early enough then I go in change her and tell her it is still nap time. I swear sometimes she does it in the hopes of not having to nap.

Totally unrelated, but she has been up there for over an hour singing the ABCs. So I'm guessing, no nap today!

Yes, it is within 15 minutes of being put down for naps. It is definitely done in hopes of postponing or canceling the nap! Of that I have no doubt! So, yes, I change him. Thanks!

We have had a series of mid-nap pooping incidents. They do the semi-wake after 40 minutes, poop, and then they're up and there is no getting them back to sleep. I've tried sitting them on the potty before nap and telling them it's time to go poop. Trent will really try and produce some tiny amount and I think we're in the clear but no such luck. I think they just get all relaxed for nap and that's when they go. I don't think it's intentional.

Same here, almost like clock work. I guess they feel secure it there to let loose!

I've had that happen before. I just go in, change, and put them back down with minimal talking. I make it clear that this does not mean they are getting out of naptime.

That happened in our house almost everyday at that age. They usually would poop within the first 20 minutes so I would go in there to do a "poop check" & change them if needed. If they pooped after that I would usually wait until nap time was over to change them.
