naptime and CIO

Should I move all naps to CIO at once or try to move just the morning or what? My boys are only really napping with rocking, swinging or nursing at the moment. Should I do the in the crib CIO for all naps?

 

It's up to you and whatever you feel comfortable with. I think it will probably be more effective if you do it for all naps at one time though. It will probably take longer (more days) if you do one nap at a time.

 

I agree with Aimee, I did CIO for naps and did them all at once (at the time mine were on two naps a day).

 

Mine are on who knows number of naps a day, from 0 to 10! :headbang: I guess I'll just have to invest a nap schedule and see if they'll follow it ...

 

When we did it, we did them all at once. I think they might just get confused if you had them CIO for one nap, but then didn't for another. ardon:

I agree with PP. I think if you don't do CIO for all the naps, they might get confused. We did it for all of the naps and it has worked pretty well. They only seem to cry a lot if they aren't tired or some other situation, like teething.

 

I agree with all PP'S - all or nothing. For us once we cracked the actuall falling to sleep at bedtime and putting themselves back to sleep everything else fell into place. Wishing you lots of luck i hope they learn quick!
