My twins will be 3 in November and they are refusing to nap lately!!!I could cry. I count on naptime to spend some quality 1:1 time with my 6 year old ds and get things done, not to mention they need to sleep or they are tired at night. They are in the same room and have been raising heck, climbing out of their cribs, my ds climbs into his sisters. I don't know what to do to preserve naptime and keep them from getting hurt. I am at my wits end. Please Help me!!!

Can you separate them? We were having the same problem. I now have one nap in a PNP in another room and magically they are napping again! We went months with no naps and it was killing me. I wish I had tried it sooner! Mine will be 3 in October. HTH :)

My girlfriend swears by the crib tents if your twins are still in their cribs. she says they saved her sanity and she still has her girls in them and they will be 3 this month. I'm trying to figure out how to keep 2 year olds in their toddler beds for naps. Any suggestions?

Unfortunately some kids do refuse to nap... my Ollie being one of them. He needs the sleep so much but at about 2 and a half he just would not settle and he never falls asleep on the couch. My children have separate rooms so it wasn't interaction. He is completely shattered by 5 and then we still have a couple of hours to go... but if I put him in bed he just cries and makes a scandal and then I have him unhappy from 2 onwards instead of just from 5 onwards...
He falls asleep, some very few times, when I push him in the buggy or in his car seat when we drive around.
Alex on the other hand loves his nap and this would be brilliant if both slept. But now I have one who will talk nonstop to me, and sit on me etc... while the other one sleeps, so we can't go out in that time either. Sometimes I think I just got the most mismatched children in the world.

I hope you find a way of getting them to nap again, but if it doesn't work for a long time and ou feel you ahve tried everything I would say it is not worth the fights...

My two older girls stopped napping at about 2 1/2. The rule was that there still was a 2 hour quite time every day while the babies napped. They can watch a movie, they can read in their bed, but they cannot be rowdy for those 2 hours. For a while, they'd fall asleep nearing the 2nd hour. Now that they are 5 1/2 and 3 1/2 it's generally movie and snack time so mommy can get something accomplished!

Good luck, it's such a bummer when they quit on you isn't it?!
