    Does this happen to you?
Noah will eat at 7 or 8 am..get cranky about 9 so I put him down..he gets up about 20 min-1 hour later (never know for how long it varies day to day)..then plays for about a 1/2 hour then gets cranky again so I put him down where he MIGHT sleep for another 20-30 minutes and then he has to eat again???? Is this normal? Aiden will sleep for larger chunks in between feedings so I don't have to keep trying to put him down..it's exhausting!

To me it seems like he really wasn't ready to get up the first time. I have one twin that does this and I have left him in the crib to see what he would do. He will actually play for 10 min. or so (sometimes shorter or longer) and go back to sleep. He doesn't do this everyday but he does it a few times a week. We were doing the same thing as you and it just seemed crazy!

You can always try and see what happens. If he fusses, you can see where that goes too. It might not be that bad but if that isn't for you, do what you would normally do and go from there.

That used to happen sometimes with my son. I also try to put him down after breakfast around 9 each morning. I found that my son, Michael needs at least 1 hour (minimum!) for his a.m. nap or he's cranky & tired. What I did and still do sometimes...if he has not yet shown signs of being sleepy by this point after breakfast (by rubbing his eyes or yawning) I hold off putting him down in his crib by 10-15 minutes or until its obvious that hes tired. This would help prevent a second morning "cat-nap"...good luck!

I agree with a PP, it sounds like he isn't getting a long enough nap the first time. Is there anyway to settle him back to sleep when he wakes at his first nap? Maybe a rub on the back, a paci?

YES! Jake was terrible with the naps for so long! Emma would nap longer, but he would take short naps all day. [IMG]It does get better, hang in there! [IMG]

I've tried putting him back down with a paci but he gets more annoyed..it seems like the only way to get him back down is the hold and rock him all over again..I think he might be waking up due to gas or reflux but I'm not sure. thanks for the input

Sometimes when mine just won't sleep anymore in the crib, I move them to the swings or bouncies for the "2nd half." I HATE NAPPING TIME...I get so stressed out.
