napping in their car seats

Is it ok if at 2 1/2 months they still nap in their car seats? or am I forming a bad habit? For me this way it's easier to make sure their pacifiers stay in.

 

Mine slept in their car seats for naps and bedtime until 4 1/2 months. It took just a couple days to break the habit. Do what ever works best for you now!!

 

Mine did too! At first I thought they'd be sore - they were uncomfortable etc. - but as time went by - LET SLEEPING BABIES LIE! Their Dad had 4am shift and he found that's the only way he could get them to sleep at the same time. They slept in their car seats from 4am til 8 am most days for a long time. I think the snugness of the seats made the girls feel warm and snuggly.

 

It's way too early to worry about habits! Just let them sleep where they'll sleep.

 

Agree, dn't worry about bad habits - no such thing for such young babies. They are just getting used to a world where they're not snug in the dark listening to your heartbeat and blood shusshing through all the time.

I think the carseats must feel a bit womblike. when you transition them, i'd consider the Miracle Blanket - they're about thirty bucks, but worth EVERY penny as far as i'm concerned!

my girls turn six mnths tomorrow and we're JUSt transitioning them to sleepng in the crib from bouncy/swing (but they both have reflux, so that's been an issue)

 

Do what you gotta do to get them to sleep and give you some peace!!!!

 

Y'arrrr, let the little tykes sleep how they like for now.

I agree, don't worry about bad habits yet. As long as their heads are ok & they're not falling forward onto their chest! (assuming the car seats are inside )

 

How funny...I just put mine down for their nap in their car seats right before opening up the computer and reading this post!
