So my babies will sleep great in their cribs from 8 pm until 8 am, but during the day they will not sleep in the crib. So I have put them in the swings. They sleep great for 2 2-3 hour naps during the days, but only if they are in their swings.
They started daycare last week and weren't put in swings the first 2 days and didn't sleep at all. Then the later 2 days they used swings and they slept well.
So how do I break them of this habit? What have I done?!?!

Mine napped in swings until about 5 months old when they decided they hated the swings. I wouldn't worry about it now and if daycare will let them nap that way, then yeah for sleeping babies!

Sorry that probably didn't answer your question, but it worked itself out for me.

Mine always napped better in swings (or on their tummies...shh!), but daycare wasn't allowed to let them nap in a swing (it's a state law here, but few daycares follow it...I just happened to have one that did!). At home, if I needed a good, long nap from them, I'd always put them in their swing. Even up until 7-8 mos! Otherwise, until they were 4 mos or so, they'd nap wherever they landed, but most typically, on my bed. They were happiest there, so that's where they stayed! We did a VERY modified version of CIO (more like fuss-it-out with LOTS of mommy & daddy near by) at 4 1/2 mos to get them to sleep in cribs. That being said, they didn't take a nap longer than 45 mins til they were 6-7 mos old (unless they were on their tummy in my bed or in the swing!)....

GOOD LUCK! It also may take some time for your girls to adjust to daycare. It's way noisier there than at home & there's lots of talking, crying, bright lights, etc. Give them time.....

Well then I'm not going to worry about it and let them sleep in their swings!

Same thing with my DS, Nikola. He preferred to nap in the swing for a while. This also allowed me to sync up their naps. I agree with pp that if daycare is okay with it, I wouldn't worry about it.

It was the same for us. Only slightly earlier. They just stopped napping as well in the swings so then we transitioned to the cribs.

I didn't read the other responses but mine napped in their swings til they were about 4 months old. Then I moved them to their cribs. It was a bumpy few days but they adjusted pretty well. I wouldn't worry about it. As long as they're napping!
