Naming our girls

What 2 do you like best?

Claire (I love the name Claire Olivia)
Isabel
Madison
Addison
Luciana (call her Lucy)

I have Isabelle picked for one of my girl names....just love it. The others I really like are Claire and Madison.

 

I like Claire and Madelyne.

 

I love Claire (our DD is Clarissa, and for awhile we thought we'd call her Claire, but Clarissa stuck).

I love Lucy too (didn't work with our last name).

The others on your list, while I like them, are all very popular. Depending on where you live, you may have several Isabels, Madisons, Addisons, and Madelyns in your girls' class at school (maybe with assorted spellings) . . . having grown up as one of 4 Rachels in my elementary school, it was important to me to find names for my kids that were not so popular.

p.s. - my guess is that you're not considering this, but just in case, I'd highly advise AGAINST going with Madison and Addison for twin girls . . .

 

Thanks! I have to say that I Claire is my favorite.

Yeah, the others I'm not sure which because they are so popular but I just love them! I do like Ava and Natalie also, but my DH does not like those.

Rachel, don't worry, I won't name them rhyming names. I don't even want names with the same letter, nor do I plan on dressing them exactly the same.

I also like Claire and Luciana.

Maddison and Addison are too trendy for me.

Isabel is lovely and classic, it happens to be popular, but it will never go out of style. I like Luciana, but I kind of think Claire and Isabel are better together, because they are two classic names that have with stood the test of time.

my Emily's middle name was almost Claire

 

I like Claire, but I like Clara even better. I also really like Madeleine (in whatever spelling) even though it's super-popular. Isabelle is nice but you have to be OK with people calling her "Izzy."

I also love Natalie -- too bad your DH won't go for it. We ruled out a lot of names that way!

 

Of course, I am pretty fond of the name Claire. It has become very popular lately. We used it to honor dh's great aunt Clara. I liked Claire better than Clara.

 

First choice is Claire. Always liked that name. I really like Isabelle but it is so popular right now I probably wouldnt use it.
Luciana would be my other choice. Lucy is a pretty girlie name.

 

I am partial to Claire (that is what we are naming our little girl). Also like Addison.

 

I like Addison and Madyline.

Lucy! I absolutely LOVE that name for a girl. and I love the italian flare you want to give it!
Isabel is nice too- could call her Izzy!

 

I like Isabel and Claire.

If you were going with Lucy instead of Luciana, that would be my other first choice.
