I am 30 weeks pregnant with identical twin boys. I have never used this site before but am having trouble with names. I don't want names to rhyme but is it tacky to have them start with the same letter. I am thinking about Stephen Davis, but calling him Davis (both family names) and Andrew ? don't have a middle name. I was thinking of caling him Drew. So Davis and Drew. I have 2 other boys, Carson and Grant. What are your thoughts or suggestions?

I like them. I don't think there is anything wrong with them starting with the same letter. I also like Andrew Thomas!

    Welcome and congratulations :)

I think names that start with the same letter are just fine. It is all about personal preference. Use the names a lot when talking to the babies and telling people and see how you feel with them. We have had names picked out for some time now and everyone we know uses their names, even my three year old nephew lol He tells everyone that Lucas and Dillon are in my tummy. Using the names really will help you see if they feel right :)

I think it is your personal preference. I have had my names picked out since I had the gender scan and found out what they were going to be. My sister asked me if I had names picked out yet and I said yes and all she had to say without knowing their names ( I haven't told anyone except for my mum the twins names) was that I should wait to see what they look like in case the names don't suit them. However I like the names I have picked out and they are my children so I will call them what I want to call them.

I like those names. There's nothing wrong with the same letter. Davis and Drew don't rhyme or anything like that. And their formal names are different. Those names give them lots of options when they grow up if they want to become Stephen or Steve and Andrew.

I also like Andrew Thomas (Thomas means twin!)

Love the names! My boys are Kaeyus and Kyelan but they had no choice considering everyone else in our house starts with K.

The names we picked both start with an M. Didn't plan it, it just happened that way.

I think Davis and Drew sound really good together.

    Very cute names!!

We are going to use Job and Jude and my other choice was Grant and Graeme. I thought it would be neat to connect them by the same letter, but I don't want the names to be too similar otherwise I'll never get them right!! My other kids don't have similar names and I have enough trouble calling them! :)

I REALLY like these for b/b:

    BAXTER and TOPHER

Maybe Baxter Rhys and Topher Dean?
    or
Dean and Drew as middle names?

Or Davis and Drew as mn's?
    OR
    Dean and Davis as mn's?

Also like Frasier and Xavier (with a z sound at the beginning, like the university!)!

    Oh,one more:

Ashton Brently and Brighton Finley (Ash and Bright or Brent and Finn!)!

I have nephews named Carson and Andrew. They aren't siblings, but cousins. My brothers, sister and I have used family names for our children.

Carson's mn is Gregory (his father's name)
Andrew's mn is Carter (his great grandmother' maiden name)

Carter would be a good match with Davis because they are both kinda like last names.

i LLOOOOOVE what you have decided. Davis and drew are so nice together, and i like their formal names as well as an option for when they get older!! Good job mama!!

I am using the same leeter names....i don't like ryhmy names either, but i think having them start with the same letter is ok. stik with your first choice!!

Thanks to everyone for your input. I am now 32 weeks, almost 33 and am 2 cm dialated. So, we have decided on Davis and Drew. I didn't know that Thomas means twin, so that definitely may be the middle name for Andrew. Anyway, thanks for the advice!
