Name or Store Brand?

I recently switched to Sam's Club brand formula. It was $19 for a 50+ ounce can compared to $35 for a much smaller Enfamil Lipil can.
Just wondering what everyone else uses. If you do use store brand which one??

 

I choose store brand, but really my babies will pretty much take anything. I've given them Enfimil, Parent's choice, Basics, Mom's something. They like them all, so we go for what's cheapest.

 

I'm BFing these two, but used formula with all the others and the pedi told me all formulas have to pass the same tests and standards so using the store brand only makes sense. I don't remember which store brand we used, but I do know that we used it!

We used Enfamil until about a month ago then switched to (Sam's) Member's Mark and after this last ginormous can we're switching back to Enfamil. I love the cost but I think the MM doesn't mix as well and to me it smells funky - not bad just not appealing. We hopefully don't have too much time left on formula.

We started out on name brand, but ended up on Parent's Choice(Walmart brand).

 

[SIZE=10pt]We started out on Enfamil Enfacare (high calorie) ~ after they had gained some weight we asked the pedi about possibly switching. He said as pp stated, that all formula has to pass the same standards.

We went with the Kirkland brand from Costco. It was a lot cheaper and they took it really well. Luckily we're off formula now. Although I have said that we might need to invest in a cow as they go through SO much milk now

I use name brand because we are still having to use Neosure. As soon as we are approved to get off of it then I will try a store brand.

 

We have to use name brand; Enfamil Gentlease. When they were two weeks old we switched to the Target brand. They both became extremly constipated. Fast foward to 6 months, I figured we'd give the store brand a try since they were older and their digestive systems are more mature. We tried Parents Choice (Walmart) and again, they both became very constipated.

For us, it's not worth seeing them in extreme pain while having a bm.

Our ped said even though it's similar, store brand is not exactly the same. She said we can try again, maybe when they're 9 months and see what happens.

We called Walmart and told them what happened and they are going to give us a refund on the can we used.

But I know what you mean. Gentlease is $25 and Parent's Choice is $14, a huge savings. And when you're dealing with twins, every bit helps.

 

After I stopped nursing, we used Enfamil because we got TONS of it free from the formula rep at the hospital where we work. When that finally ran out, we started off buying Enfamil, but then recently switched to Sam's Club brand. They were getting generic formula at daycare for months, so it didn't seem to be an issue. It's WAY more affordable at Sam's and the babies could care less either way.
