Name Help!

Discussion in 'Pregnancy Help' started by Larami Serrano, Apr 9, 2007.

So from the moment we found out we were pregnant (we assumed with one, not two), we knew we wanted Caleb as our boy name. When we found out we were having TWO boys, we kept Caleb but have been going back and forth on names for "Baby B". A couple of weeks ago, we decided on Jaydon for the second name and then found out that the name is already taken by a first cousin of mine! The problem is, I'm starting to feel bad that "baby Caleb" has had a name for so long and then there's "the other one". People actually refer to them as Caleb and his brother! SO, we decided to start all over and not tell anyone what the names are going to be. I'm terrified to see what the reactions will be because they aren't exactly common names and at some point in the naming process, they've each been vetoed passionately by friends and family. The names are Kingston Serrano and Riley Serrano. What I need are suggestions for middle names - whether you think they're the most hideous names or not :) Can't wait to hear your suggestions! Thanks! :p

I can't really think of anything to go with Riley, but maybe Michael or Matthew for Kingston? Sorry I suck at coming up with names, especially boys names lol. Good luck!

    I like both names.

How about Kingston James & Riley Matthew.

How funny! My husband's middle name is Matthew and his cousin's middle name is Michael. The cousin just had a son and gave him my husband's middle name and we really wanted to do the same so we might have two winners: Michael and Matthew!

I don't like Kingston James, sounds too much like King James
My suggestion would be Kingston Michael, (for DH's cousin) and Riley Caleb (because that's the name you love).

Another suggestion is to use the grandafather's first names for their middle names- depending on the names, of course. I think using DH and cousins names for their middles names is adorable, too.
I'm glad to hear that you are waiting to tell the name. YOu should be able to name your children whatever you want without feeling weird about it. If they are named, then you can't change your mind based o someone's reaction. I hate when I mention a name that I love just to get the reaction "That's the name of the girl who threw up on my shoes in second grade.".

I think waiting to tell will make it very special when they arrive. Good luck!
