How can a child who gets the tiniest bonk and screams bloody murder demanding ice and wanting to be held be the same child who has a bruised-blue fingernail at bedtime but won't say how it happened?! I pryed out that it has something to do with banging wood but he won't give details. It looks horrible and DH thinks the nail will shed... :bad:

It's amazing how the littlest of injuries create huge sobs and cries, but when you see them get hurt and they pick themselves up without a care, there is no crying involved?! My guess is that he was doing something he either knew he shouldn't have been doing or something he was really enjoying. I hope it looks better as the day progresses! I lost a nail when I was in 3rd grade.

Oh the personalities of each child :) It's a good thing they are different, think of how much crying and loving you would be doing if they both need attention with every little injury

Baffles me too!! Mine don't cry at all when they get hurt doing something they shouldn't. Well, I should say they don't cry until they see my face and then cry in fear.

Yep, I have a very dramatic child when she knows you've witnessed her injury. She goes on and on about her "boo boo" requesting countless kisses. However, the other day I noticed her big toe nail was bruised underneath. I have no idea what happened but it looked so bad I was worried she might have broken her toe.

It'll become clear in a day or two what happened!!

Poor little dude's gonna be confused when his nail comes off! Probably, he'll think it's COOL! Well, with your luck anyhow!! ;)
