My year almost gone

I can't belive my babies are almost 1. They are both taking steps and have been for over a month. My DD is now walking as of yesterday. It is so cute. I love it. My DD says mama, dada, bye, dog, hi, and this. My DS says mama, dada, dog, hi. They both can crawl up the stairs (we haven't tackled going down yet). They both give kisses and love to clap. When every they see anyone clap or cheer(even on TV ) they clap. They are fully weaned as of yesterday I fed the last time. I slowly cut it out and today they didn't get their morning nursing. I am going out of town next week so we had to wean. They are great eater and do well with sippy cups. They are just about 20 lbs and are over 30 in tall (above 90%). My DD has just started throwing fit, no that I am happy about that but it shows how grown up she is getting. After being sick for like 3 weeks they are back to sleeping 7 to 7 and 2 good naps. I can't believe how easy life has gotten at our house. Now if we can pull of goign out of town with out them for a week and their party when we get back our first year will be complete.

For those of you in the trenches of the first year, it does get better and easier. I miss my little twinfints but life is so fun now.

I'm right there with you. Mine will be one on 8-10. WHere did the year go??? It was the fastest year of my life. Itried to savor moments but wow did it go by. I feel a bit sad, too. THese are my last babes. However, it is nice that life is a smidge easier and as much as I LOVE the newborn stage I don't think I could go back ---it was hard!!! Congrats to your milestones--have a great trip.

Mine are one on 8-3 and it feels like I've just blinked and all of the sudden a year has gone.
I remember saying I wish they would get alittle older so it would get easier....ha ha.... now they are mobile and into everything!!
