First Welcome and congrats to all those new pg ladies on this board! And big congrats to Amber!

Man, it has been a long 2 weeks! 2 Sundays ago, I ended up in L&D having contractions 6-8 min apart at 27 weeks (same time I went into labor with the twins) It was so scary!! So I hung out and it did stop, THANK GOD! And by some miracle, my cervix is thinner, but not dilating. So they sent me home and told me to stay off my feet and rest...yeah...right.

So I really did try, but with DH working 60 hours a week and no family nearby, it is nearly impossible, so I ended up back at the OB that Fri, with terrible menstrual like cramps and spotting..but again, luckily no cervical changes...so long story short, I am now on "modified" bed rest (whatever the **** that means!!) They say no heavy lifting, no lengthy standing and keep stress to a minimum! Are they smoking CRACK????!!!

Luckily...DH has been good..doing laundry, cleaning toilets, vacuuming, etc...but the kids still only want me, and there is the daily grind stuff, feeding them, cleaning up toys, dishes, etc....and I am going INSANE!!!!! I cannot stand just sitting around, not to mention all the clutter and the fact that I still have a ton to do/get to get ready for Meghan! How can I possibly make it another 11+ weeks?????

Well, I guess the silver lining is I haven't had a headache in a few weeks! Sorry for the vent...no one else seems to get why I am a basket case!!!

I feel for you. We are kinda in the same boat. My dh works a ton and we don't live near family either. I wish there was someone there to help you. Maybe if you can financially handle it ....you could have someone come clean for you at least every 2 weeks......that would relieve some of the stress. I'll be thinking of you.

I'm sorry you are going through this. Can you possibly hire a mother's helper/part time nanny to help out just during this time? I know it's costly, but your health and the baby's health are so important.

I'm sorry you are going through this. Just try to remember that once you get that baby here, you can clean your house again. That what I keep telling myself.

Bless your heart! I get it! Vent away, because that's a lot goin' on! Be extra kind to yourself these last 11 weeks. I know it's so hard when you feel the need to clean up and keep things straight, but cut yourself lots of slack. It sounds like your DH is really being great about helping out. Hang in there! You'll be surprised how fast 11 weeks will go by! I promise!

You need to rest as much as possible for your baby-to-be...I know it's hard, but it's best for the baby. She needs to cook LOTS longer. I hope you do'nt have any more trips to L&D, those are not fun. Feel free to vent anytime...we all need to every once in awhile!

So sorry you are going through this right now. If it helps, here is my favorite quote in the world, "A clean house is a sign of a dull woman." I must be the most exciting person in the world! You can be too! :p

You guys all made me cry!! ..Thanks so much for all the kind words! I do have a number for a babysitter she 's an elementary ed major at URI and has already assistant taught (so background check is done ;) ). She babysits for a friend, so I know she's great. I need to call her...maybe today.

the house cleaning sounds great...but expensive from what I hear...and I would probably clean before she came! ;) .

I have been really trying to take it slow...I know all too well what NICU babies are all about...and I really don't want one!!! 38 weeks would be great though!!!

Thanks again! What would I do without you ladies????
