My twins will be 3

The twins will be 3 in a little less than a month. Any birthday gift suggestions? I'm at a loss as to what to get them.

 

We are getting a toy kitchen, but it seems like lots of you get that when they turn two--all the ones for sale in my area are rated for 3 years or older.

A small thing I got them recently that they LOVED, was a small notebook for each of them. They love carrying it around and scribbling in it or asking other people to write or draw something on the pages. Then they flip through it like an album saying Mommy drew me these stars, Dad wrote my name here, etc.

 

Mine will be 3 next month and I'm also at a loss for something to get them! They do not need ANY MORE toys! I'm thinking of getting this Twilight Turtle for mine for their new room. They love going to the children's museum and watching the planetarium show, so I think they would like it.

 

Our girls' "big gift" for their 3rd birthday were the Fisher Price digital cameras. They love them.

 

We were thinking of a fish tank for them. It could be fun. What about scooters?

 

Thinking back...here are some of the things that our boys received for their 3rd b-day/and Christmas (same week here) from friends and family.

Some things I am getting for my girls for bday/xmas are:

possibly a ride on battery operated vehicle (jc penney has one for $40)
kids lap top or vtech computer attatchment
bike or tricycle
learning toys from leapfrog, learning resources, etc.
cabbage patch twin dolls and double stroller
and my mom is getting them a doll house

If you go to Kidsurplus.com they have a lot of the learning toys for counting, reading, concepts, etc.

edited to add, I am also getting themn tinker toys.

 

Ours will be 3 soon too and we have been looking around for ideas also!

We thought about a large doll house...but now with the recalls I'm not sure I want any painted plastic items for a while.

We also looked at this at Toys R Us but we wanted to find out more about it.
