I got 2 notes in the mail and an email from people who aren't coming. I gave them my number and they didn't even bother to call and tell me. I feel if the invite has an RSVP and only a telephone number then it should be a quick call, not a note saying were not going to be able to make it or an email.

What do you think would be proper?

I agree it should be a call, but at least they let you know! People SUCK at RSVPing!

I wouldn't mind how the message came as long as they let me know they aren't coming.

Our girls party is the 14th too. I sent out invites a month before - with my email AND phone number.

Not one person has used either of those methods to RSVP. A couple people said in passing that they are coming, I have emailed to follow up with some of my friends and the rest we haven't heard from. I mean come on - how much easier could I have made it??? I could really care less if they can't make it - I am not going to be offended but how hard is it to let me know!

My MIL's friend even asked told HER she was coming and asked if she really needed to RSVP - MIL told her NO!! I told MIL that I wouldn't have put RSVP on the invite if I didn't want them to.

Sorry to rant - but as you can see it is a sore subject with me....anyway - I FEEL YOUR PAIN!!! :)

Personally I wouldn't really care if they called, e-mailed or sent a note as long as I got a reply of some kind

I wouldn't care one or the other as long as they did rsvp some way.

I am with most of the other replies. I wouldn't care how they RSVP so long as they RSVP. I know that for me, getting on the phone with out one of my four having a melt down is rare, so an email or note via the mail would be easier.

Be glad they have at least RSVP'd. I have to say people just don't know how to do this anymore and it drives me crazy. I have seen a lot of people put phone number and e-mail on the invites now, I think it's a good idea. I agree, if you just put a phone number on it, that is how they should contact you, but people don't pay attention!

We're having our twins 1st birthday party on the 14th as well. I put our address and phone number on the invite; however, I haven't heard from anyone. I did not put to specifically call or RSVP so I'm not really expecting to hear from anyone.

I think that as long as they contacted you then you shouldn't be too upset.

I guess you are right I should be grateful I got a response at all! Maybe it's my hormones I've been getting moodier lately. Thanks for your replies!
