My twins have arrived!

    Ivan and Petra were born on Tuesday July 14, exactly 2 weeks ago. Ivan weighed in at 8 lbs 1 oz, Petra at 7 lbs 11 oz. I carried to 39w1d, and my water broke as I was walking to the OR for my c-section. :woah: Unfortunately I hemorrhaged afterward and needed a blood transfusion, but I'm gradually overcoming the anemia with supplementation. Also, Ivan was breech and took a big gulp of amniotic fluid right before they pulled his head out, so he needed a few days in the NICU. But both twins are doing beautifully now and are growing SO quickly! They're almost too big for their newborn diapers. I feel extremely fortunate to have been able to carry them to full term. :)

    Congrats on the arrival of your twins. Though I doubt I'll carry mine this late, I pray that we make it to 36w.

    those are some really big babies!!! i'll be 38 weeks and 2 days when i have my section on friday so congrats on carrying them to 39 weeks, i know the misery you were feeling!!! they are absolutely adorable!
