My first year with my boys was full of trial and error. At first I had no clue how I was going to take care of 2 babies at once and the fact that I hadn't had a baby in about 9 years made me even more nervous. I was afraid I wouldn't do anything right.

I had lots of help on this site and used people's advice. The best advice I got was if 1 woke up to eat and be changed wake the other 1 up. It really helped me to get more sleep with them up at almost the same time. It took about 2-3 months to get them on the same schedule. But when they were, they even had dirtied their diapers at the same time. lol

I had been worried about them not rolling over or crawling because they disliked Tummy-Time, but they both rolled over at 4.5 months and crawled at 6 months. By 10.5 months Eli was walking and a month later so was Peyton. Now the only times they're not on their feet is when their in their high chairs or car seats or when they are sleeping. They really enjoy running. They laugh and giggle when they escape the living room, too. As they run in triumph! ;)

I will always remember their first smiles to me and when they first said mama, which was Eli's first babbling word. Peyton's was baba. I just wish they stayed babies for a little longer. They are growing up so fast.

They were so tiny at brth compared to my older 2, anyway, with Peyton being 6 pounds 14 ounces and 20 inches long and Eli being 6 pounds 10 ounces and 19.75 inches long. Now they are both are 24 pounds and 32 inches. They are bigger than Trent was at a year and he was full term and weighed 9 pounds 12 ounces and was 22.5 inches long.

Yes, there were times when I said I can't do this anymore and would run away! But I did make it through the baby months of my twins' lifes and am looking forward to the months and years ahead! :)

As some of you know, I am planning a party for them in July. I plan on doing a football theme! I plan on making my own cakes and put a horseshoe on Peyton's and an NY on Eli's. It's the logos of the Manning quaterbacks' teams, who my twins are named after. I did make a regular cake for their birthday, but they did not eat much because both were sick. They did enjoy some of the opening of their gifts though.

Here's a pic of them shortly after birth:
