My Twins First Year OnLine Scrapbook

Hey all,
I'm sooo NOT the scrapbooking type but with a little "encouragement" from my Father, I put this together. I think it turned out very well and only took like 10 hrs or so. I ordered it and did it on Shutterfly.com it was REALLY easy.

Take a peak if you want to. They will be one yr old in a month! Can't believe it. I MADE IT!!! LOL.

I started making one, but realized it would take me 40 pages to put all the pictures I like... so I just bought a regular photo album instead (and one for each of them too, if they ever care about it when they grow up) and I just order prints.

Wow, that is gorgeous!! Do you mind sharing how much it cost? I was thinking about it, but not sure if I want to spend the $$.

ONLY 40!!?? I had to cut myself off at 70! Could've EASILY done 200, for sure.

Oh ya, I do that TOO! Ordered 400 photos f/ Shutterfly 2 weeks ago and filled a HUGE baby book for EACH of them w/ them! I just did this on top of that. LOVE pictures and I have about 5 of myself when I was a baby/child so I wanted to make sure I had plenty of these two.

I have 400 Shutterfly albums and 200 YouTube videos of them already!! I think I'm crazy!!

AND FYI it was MORE expensive to ORDER the prints from Shutterfly than to do the photo book!!!

 

Yep Shutterfly isn't cheap. Their packages are ok but shipping is a killer... Snapfish was cheaper but the uploading tool is a real pain.

When I said 40, it was when I did them... two months ago. I probably have enough pictures for 80+ pages already But you're right, between the cost of the prints, shipping and photo album, doing a photo book would have been cheaper I think. Oh well!

Hi. Well.. here's the thing.. Obviously, it's FREE to make the book and share it online. So.. at least you would have THAT!!

My Dad ordered a 12 by 12 book and for 70 pages, it was 140.00.

I ordered the 8 by 8 book (same pics etc) and it was 76.00.

As I mentioned above, I ordered 379 prints from Shutterfly and it was 76.00 for THAT!!! So.. you can get a book for cheaper!

I'm SOOO happy that I bit the bullet and did it. I was dreading it, to be honest, but once I started I could NOT stop doing it. I could've done 200 pages. It's a TON of fun and great memories to have. Even if you don't buy it right away- it will save in your account and perhaps you could ask for it for Xmas?? I'm soo proud of how it turned out and if I can do it--- ANYONE CAN!

Very cute! And I'm sure you will love it once you get it too. My friend has made a couple of books with shutterfly and they come out so nice!

 

that REALLY turned out awesome!!! I am digital scrapbooker and have my books all printed up by shutterfly and so hadn't ever looked at their template books and I must say that I was pretty impressed by the designs of the pages! It SOOO looks like you spent way more time than just 10 hours on it! What a fabulous keepsake and your boys are so adorable and have the cutest expressions!

ps: before I order from shutterfly I always do a google search for "coupon codes shutterfly" (or something similiar) and have always had luck finding % off codes or free shipping codes, etc... to help cut down the cost... My last order I had a 12x12 75 page book and I only had to pay $70 for it! Less than $1/page -- so it really is an economically (and fun way) of keeping our children's memories!

Love it!! I will have to keep this in mind. I bought 2 photo albums, but never got around to making them for our boys. I can always use the albums and this looks so much nicer. I can make a different one for each of them.

I had one made for my parents online with Walmart and then they just picked it up at the Walmart in their city (i'm living in Australia right now). I like yours so much better but I think I had about 45 pages for about 45.00. I split it up into 0-6 months so I still have one more to make for them as well as for each of the girls.

That is fantastic! I think I have the same couch as you. I have ALOT of pictures on the brown leather furniture!

Thanks girls. You're sweet. I cannot stop watching my online scrapbook. I think I'm obsessed now. I want to do like a million but not pay for them, of course! I take about 30 pics PER DAY so I could really spend a lot of money!

Very Nice. I have been home with my twins for three months now and I have over 500 pictures. I would like to try this.
