My twins are here!

Madisyn and Kingston arrived 12/10 at 5:21pm and 5:23 pm by c-section at 38 weeks exactly!

Madisyn: 6 lbs 12 oz and 21 inches

Kingston: 7 lbs 7 oz and 20.5 inches

They were perfectly healthy and scored 9's on their apgars.

I had a scheduled c-section on 12/11 but my water broke the day before in the afternoon.
By the time I got to the hospital which is an hour away plus we got stuck in san diego 3pm traffic, I was having contractions every 3 minutes and they hurt. They got me in the OR within about 30-45 minutes, my dr. was on call thankfully and dad made it off work and down to the hospital just in time.
My c-section went great except the spinal parylization freaked me out and I panicked and kinda flipped out. It was really scary for me but I got over it.
My pain wasnt horrible and lasted about 3-4 days. By the time I came home on Saturday I felt good and was only taking one motrin and after that I just took one more motrin sunday and monday and havent taken any meds since and am pain free completely.
My milk didnt come in until Monday, so it took a good 5 days, but it came in and I have a lot. I do still do formula though, b/c with the 2 of them eating every 2 hours its just too much.
Its hard with the babies I am not going to pretend it isnt. My whole life is just changed and it wont ever be the same. But I am sure I will get used to it!
It was a fun journey being pregnant with twins-hope everyone else has smooth pregnancies and deliveries!

I was very happy to make it to 38 weeks. I think having went to 39 with my dd helped and she was big as well.
They are doing great and have gained most of their weight back as of Tuesday at their appt and I am getting some sleep-4 hours in a row last night woohoo!!!
I have taken them to look at xmas lights, to the dr. and to run a few errands and tonight is our first real outing to my dd's xmas show at her school at our church so we shall see how that goes. lol. I am nervous but I cant miss it and I think we'll be okay.
