Heres a basic story i just got home last night 9pm, i'm still very tierd, this is just a basic run down of what happened, i've been a few pints short on blood too so sorry if things dont make sense this week has been a blur.

The twins are here they were born july 2nd at 18:49 and 18:50 via emergency c-section. And for all of you who were wondering they are in fact identical. They had to be delivered because baby A (aaron) wasnt looking so hot when they were monitoring me, his heart wasnt looking good, so they did an ultrasound and he didnt move in the 30 minutes they watched him, his little heart was beating away but he wasnt moving. So they were very concerned for him, turns out they developed a case of TTTS, which was pretty severe, they said another day, and i probably would've lost one if not both. They had no idea until they pulled them both out, aaron (baby A) looked horriable, he was as white as the sheets and evan (baby B) was bright red! and almost 2 pounds heavier. It was pretty scary. i even needed 2 units of blood. Both boys are doing alot better, we've made alot of leaps and bounds, Aaron needed 3 units of blood, so far we dont think evan will need any. Aaron is also off of all breathing assistance after needed to be intibated, Evan is still struggling, hes had to have his blood thined out a few times because, his blood is soo rich from recieving all the extra blood, and his heart is having issues from being so overfilled, and hes on CPAP, but both are coming back normal on most of their tests. So heres our official stats i will add pictures later we have a ton, but i'm recovering from my c-section so sitting up isnt the most pleasant.

baby A, Aaron james born july 2, 2008 at 18:49 weighs in at 2lbs 9oz at 15 1/2 inches long.

Baby B, Evan Joel born july 2, 2008, at 18:50 weighs in at 4lbs 9 oz at 16 1/2 inches long.

we had no idea.. i had an ultrasound the week before they said the babies were 3.2 and 3.7 no one had any idea. the drs all have told me another day... the outcome might not of been so good. I'm blessed to have had such an amazing set of dr's and NICU team. Hopeing they dont face any long term effects.

Congratulations! I'm so glad that the docs caught the situation and took care of business. . . We are TTTS survivors too, and I am just so happy to hear they made it. I also had two units of blood after my delivery, and that was no fun. I am thinking, praying for you all. I hope all of you are well on the road to recovery and home very, very soon!

Congratulations on the birth of your boys! I'm so glad they caught that in time. :hug99: I hope little Evan feels better soon. Our recipient twin also took a little longer in the hospital due to the blood thinning needed, ventilator, etc. Once the girls were released though they were perfectly healthy though and you'd never know they had TTTS. I know it's hard, but get some rest before the boys come home!

Congratulations on your bundles of joy! I will keep your boys in my prayers. I hope their NICU stay is short and uneventful. Take this time to rest and heal Mommy. I know it's hard to do, but your body needs to recover so you can be a great mom to them.
