My Twins Are Here!

Well, this is about three weeks late, but hey things have been so busy since they have gotten here! Ok, this is how it went... I started having contractions at about 2:30am on october 29th. I waited all morning to tell my husband just in case they weren't the real thing all though I knew that was it. Finally at about 5:30 in the morning I woke my husband and told him that this was it and we needed to leave. We headed on up to where my doctors office is and we just kind of hung out until time for my appointment by this time I had quit having contractions. We finally got to the doctors office around 2:00 and there my contractions started again and they were very intense. As soon as i went back they asked me if i was hurting they could obviously see it on my face so they checked me first and i had dialated to one cm. They sent me over to the hospital for the NST and to monitor my contractions. By an hour and a half i had dialated to three cm. My doctor still wanted to try and stop the labor so they gave me a shot and everything only intensified. My doctor still thought i would be going home so he came in to tell my by and he looked at the monitor and my contractions were 2 min apart and he said he could tell i was hurting and i told him that it was getting really intense and i felt alot of pressure, so within about five minutes we were being prepped for a c-section. I was about to die! None of our family was there and if i had not been loopy from the shot i really would have been a wreck! Well, anyway they did my c-section and baby A came out weighing 6lbs 12 oz and baby B came out weighing 6lbs 3 oz. I had them at 36 weeks to the day so considering they were early they were pretty big. All i know is that i don't ever want to go through another c-section in my life! Baby B took in alot of fluid during the section so he went to nicu until the day we went home which was the fourth day in the hospital. Everyone is doing well and i am healing very well and i am very thankful for two healthy twins! Good luck to all of the expecting mothers!
