My twin boys! :)

Ok - just one more twin mum wondering if her babes are MZ or not. We were told on ultrasound that our boys were monochromatic, but I honestly wonder when I look at them. I was 21wks along when we found out about the twins, so from all the research I've done its hard to say for sure by then if it really is monochorionic or fused dichorions. Then I think that they look too MUCH alike to NOT be, kwim? So - from other mums who've 'been there done that', what do you think? Now I know its hard to tell with just a couple pics and they can change as they get older, but as an initial guess....what do you say? They were born Sept 2. Its hard to get pics of them with their heads the same way - Lane has a bit more of a double chin - right now they are 5oz different and 1/2" different in size.

Tamika they are so CUTE!! :wub: I am guessing ID, it looks like their eye shape, nose and ears are all the same! They are soooo sweet though!

I vote ID too. The whole MZ/DZ thing confuses me. If they had one placenta, they are def. ID.

And my husband thanks you for confirming what he says 'Totally identical' LOL Its weird because it makes no difference if they are or not - they are their own person, but it feels weird to say to someone 'yes they are identical' when I am asked yet I think they look different. Does that make sense? I guess its a Mommy thing.

 

They are sooo cute and I'm agreeing I think they are totally ID.

My hubby is laughing at all these agreements to the ID side! LOL He has always said I'm full of hooey when I question it! LOL THank you all for looking and for the adorable comments!

We don't know for sure they had one, as it was so late in the pg when we discovered there were twins. It was never sent away for pathology (not standard practice and I didn't know that to request it, plus I was knocked out for surgery due to my epi not working so I didn't get to see it or hear discussion when it came out). The only evidence we had was the u/s and the fact the membrane was sooooo very thin between them.

 

No doubt about it - identical! Coming from one mom who has no idea and just ordered the test. :ibiggrin:

 

LOL Its hard being the twin mum who has no clue, isn't it? LOL I kinda wish I could see what others see - the identicalness!
