he worst day ever:( Sat nite we went to Canadaian Tire-hardware store-grab a few things-and i felt ok when i got home i had a bit of brown spotting; the next day i didnt feel right i was getting stabbing pains in my belly:( Brice woke up at 11am and i tried to lie down and rest but the pains wouldnt go away; im thinking UTI agian- but i felt contractions! normally i would have gone to my GP walk=-in and gotten a prescription--I called L&D and they are super busy-everyone is having babies!--Brice drops me off at the hospital and takes the boys home wtih him-i got to L&D and explian whats happening and she said since im only 16 wks they dont do anything here-crap-
I have to go tot the Emergency room-3 hours of contractions they take me in and 2 hours later i see a doctor -he sends me for an U/s and some blood test-Good news is the U/s tech said -"im just here to look for viability" OMG yeah thats what i need to hear- but i was starving and had a chocolate bar LOL before the u/s so u said "holly cow active babies!-Thank god they are alive! she said yes and really strong heartbeats!!! My babies are ok:))) she said im only 16 wks and 2 days so im due May 16-19th- so i have to cancell my U/s for the 13th- wont get another one til probably after xmas-thats ok! im just so releived they were ok--
back to room, urine test, blood test- all in all 10 hours later the OB comes in after delivering babies all day-poor woman- she wanted to talk to me because im having twins-well i do have a bad infection-that was causing the contractions- im put on bedrest-modified-until i feel better so im scrambing to find help with the boys and we got hit with the wost snowstorm here:( icy roads was brutal taking joshua to school today--

I think the worst part was not knowing what was happening-AND the poor woman beside me just miscarried her baby at 12 wks:( I was bawling for her! each time her family member came in i would cry all over again hearing her tell the story0- She has to have a D&C-She was in horrible pain and bleeding so heavy:( her poor husband was coming down from Vermont and it took him 13 hours to get to the hospital--

I got hom around 10pm and finally got some food, felt so crappy but i feel better today when im resting-brice is going to pick up joshua from school today and get my prescription for me-me and jake are hanging out and joshua has a school trip:) --

My nanny would be able to come til end of Feb; til then i have to find someone to do all the trips to school-

Yeah it must be hard. Couldn't imagine having to see that a baby was no longer living and knowing how that would effect the parents. Not a job I would want. Did you get to see them on the u/s or was that not allowed. I know a lot of ER's won't allow it.

You poor thing. I'm so happy that all is well for you, and that you felt good enough to post. I think it's important that "new twin mommies to be" know that UTIs can mimic the signs of pre-term labor. (I went through this last week as well, never thought I'd say "Thank GOD it's a UTI" in my lifetime lol!) I am 21 weeks, so just a little ahead of you.

Take it easy, I know that is hard with other children in the house. I'm lucky, because my eldest is 14 and can come home from school and help me with my toddler.

Wow, Cherie, I'm glad everything's ok. How horrible for the woman next to you; I'm surprised she didn't get a private room. Yikes!

thanks girls! allison, sarah, ashley, tammy:) --we are doing good-my YDS is giving me a run for my money now refusing to walk up the stairs or in the house-ugh-
Im so happy to know its a UTI too and nothing serious! those per-term labour contraxs are scary and i didnt know u can get them so soon:( but now i know what to look for-my goal is to bake these babies at least til 37 wks! I had a dream last nite the OB said i needed a -c-section at 29 wks and they would be fine-3 lbs each 1 boy and 1 girl:) funny how vivid our dreams are right now to the last lb;)
