My trip down memory lane! My thoughts at the time!

At first when I found out I was pregnant I had bad thoughts and horrible things that were said to me about how twins would be then end of life as I know it. I thought that I'd never be able to have 2 babies at the same time, because i thought i'd go crazy.....or how are we going to afford starting over with new baby stuff when we just got our 3 year old out of diapers? worry, worry, worry! how are we going to get through this? am i out of my mind?? not again.....

Month three:
I can actually walk without getting nausiated! woohoo! I love food! i can't get enough of every food i smell. I hated tomatoes before, but i can eat them like apples now! oooooooh soooooo good. dang it!!!!!!I can't fit into any of my clothes!!!!!!!! OMG!!!! Look at my belly!!! I can barely walk ...........i'm so hungry!!! "honey can you make me a peanut butter and pancake sandwhich with mayo and extra surup? PLEASE???" uuugggggghh how many more people are gonna ask me how much longer???

Month five:
What a burst of energy!!! mmmmmm mcdonald's again!! :icon_biggrin: I gained how much? :blink: you have to stick me again??? what are you lookin at??? YES IT'S TWINS! WHEN ARE YOU DUE TUBBY? cake!!! where???? I'm more into to watchin food, doc, not my weight! you want me to gain how much???? I can't chase you child! i'm gonna choke you when i get my hands on oney can you get YOUR DAUGHTER!!!! HONEY!!!!! I CAN'T FEEL MY LEGS! where are you? IN THE BATHROOM :blush: can i bring the camera? :rotflmbo: NOT UNLESS YOU WANT TO EAT IT!

Month seven:
What do you mean bed rest? i can't wait to get out of this flippin trailer!! But honey i have to lift my belly to get into the bathroom!!! the wall is soo close to the toilet i have to strattle the toilet to sit down! This trailer sucks!!!! i can't roll over! HONEY!!! can you that bon bon for me, please? (where is it) right there by my knee (you can't reach that!??) It hurts to move :icon_biggrin: please????NST's??? huh??? great! that is going to kill my gas every week! Honey!

Last day pregnant!
Well, honey i'm on my way to my NST. I'll call you when i get back. bye! i walked 1 mile just to get to the L&D department for my NST. Woopty i'm having contractions---this grants me that nurse touching me with her death fist! yuck! OOOOOOOWWWWWWW! 4 1/2 centimeters??? really! well, looks like i get to stay!!!YAY the end of my misery!!!! Honey, i won't be coming home! i get to stay to have these babies! i have to sign my life away it seems like! all of this paper work! i bet having babies in the old days was so much faster. pop out a baby and go back to work in two hours after birth! darn i want to be in those days right about now. uuuuugggghh!

Delivery is different for everyone!
7:40 am water is broken! huh?? i have to push already? nurse goes to call dr. 8:01 am Aubrey was born--hehehehehehehe the doctor got soaked :icon_biggrin: oops! hehe. no tears, no crying, barely any pain, no drugs. two hard pushes. That's it???hmmm ok. 8:09 second water is broken, WOAH! i see an arm waving at me! cool! still no tears, no crying, barely any pain, still no drugs! 8:12 am Avarey was born! FEWWWW! Relief!! I can see my feet!!!!

1 Month olds
this is soooo easy! they are sooo cute! awwww! I can roll over! I lost how many pounds? they smell so good! wash your hands! don't hold her like that! don't do this! don't do that! They are not double trouble! Are they twins? Do they look like twins? people will tell you all kinds of stuff about their lives when you have twins present. It is really crazy what people say! Enjoy your babies when they are small! they won't be small and imobile for long! you can't spoil your baby! if you are uncomfortable about people holding your babies don't let them hold them at all! you are the parent!!

2 month olds
smiles! My babies are sooooo smart! yay! they look more like their daddy! they look more like their mommy. awwww! man they can poop! uuuugggghh the gas is horrible! look she's cooing! spend as much time with your babies as you can. get yourself a sitter to catch up on your sleep! don't let others tell you how to raise your babies. they are blessings! i wouldn't trade them for anything! is it just me or do they know when i am about to fall asleep? i am soooo tired! honey! can you get that diaper this time? they eat soooo much! Ooooohhh they had their shots! man did they sleep! they sleep all night! YES!!!!!!!! I get to sleep finally!!!

4 month olds
oooo giggles last forever! rolling over now! oh boy we are in trouble, the first sign of mobility! mmmm first baby foods! yay messy fingers and stained outfits! tons of laundry! bathtime is sooo fun! Boy the sure know their daddy! look at that grin! such precious jewels! i am truly blessed. they are growing like weeds!
yay playtime in the walkers! no more bouncy seats!! the swings are next! oh my they have grown out of some clothes! they are such good babies!

time with our babies is precious. everyone has their own way of dealing with twins. i feel that they are easy for me. but others say that they are terrified to be left alone with two babies. trust me, after a while you get tired of someone else doing for your babies. that's when you know that you are ready to do it alone at home with hubby at work. it's just you and your babies. find you rythm and play around with it. see what works and don't work, what fits and don't fit! this is the best adventure i have ever had! having twins is awesome!!!! i hope that you enjoyed this trip! i know i did writing it!

:laughing: Thank you for a good laugh. That was too funny and so very true. I love the straddling the toilet part. I remember feeling like my knees were going to give out every time I had to go to the restroom. One day I actually asked my husband if the toilet was lower. .

 

TRUE!! time w/ our babies is precious!!! and your trip down memory lane made me laugh and cry! it doesn't seem like that long ago when we were all straddling the toilet and being accused of eating too much!!! time has flown!!!

Awww, that was so sweet and very true!!!! I loved what you said about being ready to just take care of them by yourself. I am still shocked at how 'competent' I seem to be, but probably because I am so crazy about them just like you are!!
