My sweet boy got a bad haircut and I'm soooo mad

My mom is a hairstylist so I figured she'd be able to just trim up the boys' hair well.... now my one boy looks like the guy from dumb and dumber ... bangs cut straight across and too short. UGH. And I'm just so stinkin mad about it. I know the hair will grow back but come on ... she's cut hair for 20 some odd years. (Okay, let me also state that I don't have the greatest relationship with my mom ... ) I feel like she didn't even care to cut their hair and she didn't even really try hard to cut it straight or nice. I know that they are squirmy 14 month olds' but ERRRR ... it looks like crap. Let me just put it this way - if I had to pay money for it, I wouldn't be paying. Thanks for listening to my rant ... I'm going to go fume about it some more offline.

It stinks when they (or you) get a haircut you hate...the thing I try to remember is that hair will grow back. :hug:

I understand. I butchered one of my girls so bad my MIL and SIL have banned me from ever cutting their hair again. It was amazing how fast it grew back in. Now it's in her eyes again, but I'm going to get someone ELSE to cut it this time!

 

I know it's easier said than done but I wouldn't get so worked up over it. His hair will grow back pretty fast!

 

Yeah, in the beginning, the hair stylist cut Kiefer's hair too short. It grew fast!. Then I got him another cut, telling the stylist not to cut his bangs short, she did it anyway. I even showed her where I wanted them to land and Kiefer was not squirmy that day. The third stylist cut his hair perfect!!! Though his bangs were straight across and not following the eyebrow line, it still looked good and the bangs were long like I asked. The stylist after that made his bangs crooked. He had a photo shoot later that week too!!! ACK!! So I cut his bangs straighter myself. I did ok, I do believe! I won't be asking for that stylist again though. I'm hoping I can get the one before. His hair is already growing out nicely. it won't be too long before he will have to go back again.

Cameron's hair is growing in slow as molasses. His nails grow slow too. I'm not sure why that is. But his hair on top of his head has only had two cuts and that was only to help his hair look thicker. The back of his head grows fairly quick though. it's hard to butcher his hair cuts...for now.

Don't worry. it will grow back and you will be able to get the right hair cut. I'm sorry your mother didn't put in the extra effort to cut his hair how you wanted it. I hope his next hair cut turns out better!

 

I can relate to your hair outrage. My MIL decided to cut my DD's hair at Christmas without asking us. We had gone out for the night. She did a horrible job. Hacked the bangs across her forehead and they are uneven. ugh. Every time I look at her hair it makes me mad again. I'm going to take her somewhere and get it evened out a bit.
