My son is a TV star!

There's a local airshow here this weekend & so the Blue Angels flew into town last night. I took the boys up to the airport to watch them fly in, despite the chilly, damp weather. There was a news crew there & they were filming all the kids (my friend was there with her daughter, too). I couldn't believe it when Aiden made the 10pm news! He's quoted saying, "There's some more airplanes coming!" When he gets excited, he talks fast, so it's kinda hard to understand unless you hear it more than once (which I have because they keep making me play it for them).

We went & saw the Blue Angels practice yesterday & Aiden just LOVED it! He kept asking for more, so we went & bought tickets for the airshow. He's getting a super special day with Mommy & Daddy while Conner gets a super special day with Nana & Papa. Conner did NOT like practice AT ALL! I'm actually happy to be taking just Aiden. Not only for the fact that it's only ONE child to take with, but because I think it'll be even MORE special for each of them. A whole 1 on 1 day! WOOHOO!

PS I guess I could see where you'd think he says "There's another airplane coming" but it's "There's some more airplanes coming". Without saying my assumption, after Aiden watched it, he said, "I said there were some more airplanes coming on tv!" So, he told me!

We ended up all going & having a good time...until it started to POUR. Oh well, we were able to catch practice all week so we got to see plenty. Both boys were off & on with liking the loud planes, but they did fine. And since they didn't nap...they went to bed early tonight! YIPPEE!

 

I didn't see who originally posted this until I read your post and thought "hey - that lady is from EC too!" when I saw you post about the Blue Angels. We wanted to go but the 4 hr show, airing smack dab in the middle of nap time, just didn't seem feasible for us since the boys just turned two. Hopefully they'll be back in a couple more years.
