My skin hurts

The skin at the top of my tummy hurts almost like a slight sunburn. It also feels really tight (not like contraction) and it hurts when I twist my body at all such as turning over in bed. I wonder if I've had a little growth spurt in the past couple of days. Anyone else have skin that hurts?

 

I don't know if this is the same thing, but sometimes it hurts when I touch certain areas on my belly. Sometimes it pulls. I think it might be from the babies growing, it sometimes coincides with the increase in ligament pain.

 

Oh yeah. and itches like a sunburn too.

 

Beth, yep I have it too...the skin is hypersensative to the touch...sometimes it hurts to have a shirt on...good thing I am at home on bedrest! LOL I might look funny out in town with no shirt on! it is from the skin being stretched so tight...the nerves are closer to the surface. and a light sunburn is a perfect description on how it feels!

Yep, can hurt and be sensitive. I usually walk around the house in p.j. pants down below my belly and a tank top smooshed up so nothing is on my tummy.

Same here! DH is always laughing at me for having my big ol'belly hangin' out, but sometimes any fabric against it is just so uncomfortable! At times when I have to wear normal clothes, I find myself rubbing my belly all the time because the skin just feels so taut and uncomfortable. There have been several times when I've been out someplace (fully dressed, lol ), but, within 5 minutes of arriving back home, my shirt is either off or at least hiked up! I just feel like my belly skin needs to breathe! :huh:

 

yep me too...I have spots or areas that will hurt when touched, and now my lower belly itches SO bad I can't stand it.

Yes! Just last night I told my husband that my stomach felt like it was gettng an indian burn-you know when someone takes your arm and twists in oposite directions...ouch! It feels better today, and I bet I can look foward to a few more stretch marks in the next few days-

 

I have it too, your description fits really well. the skin is so oversensitive, and it's in the same area, at the top of my belly. but it doesn't feel tight though.

 

Hey ladies...I'm right there with you too. It is miserable! Glad to know this is "normal" for us with big bellies
