Twins walked at 15 but were 5 weeks early, so 14. Sebastian was full term and is otherwise healthy. Cruises etc. Similar stories?

Anything up to 18 months is considered within "normal" range. If he's pulling up & cruising, I expect it's just a matter of time.

They all seem to do it when they are ready. My twins walked at 11 and 12 months, our first singleton started at 14 months and our last little fireball started at 10 months. It seems to go along with their personalities. If he is cruising, then it won't be too long. I think they say not to worry until they are 18 months.

Donevan walked at 14 months, the twins starting walking at 15 months. I know I started walking at 18 months. I wouldn't worry.

My oldest was 15 months. It turned out she had ear problems and needed tubes from chronic ear infections. I didn't find out until she was about 22 months when it was also affecting her hearing and speech. But I wonder if it caused some balance issues that may have delayed her walking a bit. Still, as others said it feels late but is in the normal range.

One of my twins didn't start walking until around 16 months. The doctor wasn 't at all concerned at his 15 month appointment, but did say that if he still wasn't walking at 18 months we could choose to see a specialist. Oh, and this son never cruised either, and had his own version of crawling. But once he started walking, he hasn't slowed down at all. He's my most athletic of my three.

My girls just hit 16 months and only started walking a couple weeks ago with out hanging on to furniture even now they still like to take about 7-10 steps and then decide crawling is faster. But they do use the furniture a lot to walk along. Have some patience. It will happen.

Sierra is walking now after practising for 2 weeks. Liara is walking holding my hand so not far off and they just turned 15 months. Liara also goes to physio and therapist doesn't seem to be concerned so I'm not worried either (for now).

My Singleton walked a little after 18 months. More nearer to 19 Months infact. She also never crawled. Rather she sat up , stood up and started walking all after 12 months ...
She is 6 now and walks just fine . so pls dont worry yet

15 months is the average for walking so your baby is totally normal, like others have said! I know plenty of people who had babies that didn't walk until much later.

I was at a MOMS group this weekend where there were plenty of toddlers over 1 not walking yet.

Interesting...one of my twins walked at 11 months (9 adjusted) and the other didn't walk until 20 months (18 adjusted). Both on the outside edges of the "normal range" for their adjusted age. The one who did not walk until she was 20 months did eventually have tubes placed, and then had a second set placed along with her adenoids and tonsils removed.

In this case, it's his decision not yours. When he decides that he wants to walk, he will just stand up and walk just like that. He might not see the need of walking for now.

Personally, I would just enjoy the not walking time now. When he starts walking, u will be busier. Gl!

    Hi guys,
Thanks. He has had CHRONIC ear infections. He had one that lasted five straight months. He has tubes. It's been hard. And on Sunday, we were over at my mom's house (where she just got new plush carpeting the week before) and he just stood up and WALKED ACROSS THE ROOM!! It was as if he'd been doing it for months! Soo funny. He has been walking here and there for us now but we had hardwoods so it's scarier for him. He does do it holding a pillowpet more often LOL! Funny!

    I'm no longer concerned!! :)
