    Let's say your water breaks...
Okay, how does the Doctor know which sac it is? Do they both normally happen around the same time? Does it matter? I got to thinking about this the other night and I couldn't come up with anything..lol

What an interesting question I didn't even think about that. I will be interested to hear what people have to say about this.

Good question... I know they don't always go at the same time, as I had a friend (with a singleton) who had one bag break at 24 weeks but as the other, bigger bag was intact, she made it to 36 weeks. I presume they can find out by u/s, maybe even by feeling your tummy?

The Dr. can tell when a vaginal exam is done if the lower baby's is broken. Also it can be confirmed via u/s.

    Good question!!

They can do an U/S and tell which bag broke.

does this also apply for when the babies are delivered?

I know baby a is always the baby that presents first, but my babies tend to switch who is closer to the exit! I was wondering how will we know which one is delivered first. We have already named them in utero, Bella is on my right side and is the bigger twin, and bree is on my left.

I don't want them to be mixed up right from the start? Can they tell from us etc and does having a c sect make it any different? Do they still pull out the presenting twin first?
