I'm doing a very quick post as the babies are about to wake up. I'm just going to paste what I just sent out to family and try to update more later :)

I meant this to be a little longer but I hear a little one starting to fuss a bit so I need to hurry. The last few days have been a blur so I'm sorry if I missed you on the first go around. Here's a quick update:

We had the twins on November 26th. I made it to my scheduled c-section at 36 weeks and 6 days. I was SOOOOO ready to be done. The last few days were very hard but I'm so glad I kept them in as long as I could. They are absolutely beautiful and wonderful, sweet babies. Sometimes at night I think they may be working against us ;-) but I think every new parent feels like that!! We stayed in the hospital until Saturday night due to my c-section. The babies had no NICU time and were with us the entire time. It was wonderful. The c-section was not as bad as I thought but recovery wasn't so great. When they were finishing up my surgery my blood pressure dropped really low and they had to give me some med that ended up making me sick in recovery...well then it was from one drug to another to "make me feel better". I finally felt "normal" if you can call it that by the next day. The first day was a blur but I made myself stay awake as long as I could to spend time with my babies and for my son, Nate, to get up to the hospital to see my family together. It brings tears to my eyes just thinking about how amazingly lucky I am. Most of you know our story and just being able to write this gets me all choked up. I feel so blessed to have these babies. Here's the stats on our little pumpkins:

    Walker Edward
    Time: 12:55pm
    Weight: 6 lbs 2 oz
    Length: 20 inches

    Jocelyn Rose
    Time: 12:56pm
    Weight: 6 lbs 5 oz
    Length: 19 inches

Nick is an amazing dad. He has just taken to it like a fish to water. I'm so in love with him all over again. So far everything has gone pretty well. The only hiccup we have had is that the babies left the hospital at 10% below their birth weight (not completely unnormal) and they were a bit jaundiced. We took them to their first pediatrician visit yesterday and both had gained back some weight. They both weighed in at 5 lbs 12 oz. Unfortunately their jaundice has gotten worse. Jocelyn's was bad enough that she has required the bilirubin lights. Luckily Children's hospital sent a home health aide over at 9pm last night to get us all set up at home. She wears a belt around the top of her body and has to be hooked up to the lighted belt constantly. We can still hold her and feed her but the cord isn't very long and it's not easy to maneuver so we're hoping her levels go down very soon. Right now she looks like a little glo-bug Walker is right on the border. Daddy has to take him back today (eeks by himself!! we haven't done that before or seperated the twins!) to get another blood test ran to see if it's gone up or down. If it's gone up at all he will have to be on the lights as well. We are hoping and praying their levels go down very quick and we can get back to our "normal". Well we were working on what was normal anyway. ;-) I better get going as I'm amazed I got to write this much!!! I've added a bunch of new pics on our webshots album. Hopefully all the pics are PG-13!! LOL I haven't gotten a chance to really go through them. We'll update as we can.
