My poor baby!

It sure seems like my little boy Nicholas (my baby B) is getting a raw deal! Whenever I had an u/s during my pregnancy, he was always hiding, so we don't have any good "in utero" pics of him. We have lots of his brother being active and doing all kinds of stuff! Nicholas also spent 8 days in the NICU with RDS and was intubated when he was born. Jackson - no NICU time. Nicholas also has a congenital heart abnormality in his aortic valve, which while not life threatening right now, will require constant monitoring by a cardiologist for the rest of his life and possible surgery later in life. Jackson's heart - perfectly normal and healthy.

Today at their 2-month check-up, they got their shots (I cried, it was awful for them and me!) and the pedi found a inguinal hernia on Nicholas that will have to be surgical repaired under general anesthesia. I knew something was wrong when I changed his diaper this morning and saw his testicals swollen. Jackson - no hernia.

Why is that one baby has all these issues? I feel so bad, especially since nothing is ever wrong with his brother! I may be being overly emotional about this, but my heart breaks for him!

    Just had to vent! Thanks!

I know how you feel! Eli always has the "problems" while Cooper has none(not that I wish he did!).

Eli had surgery in October where he spent 1 week in the hospital to repair a blockage in his urinary tract. He's the one who get sick [IMG] the most with odd things, had horrible reflux and had to have Upper GI, choking incident due to the reflux where we had to call EMS. He's been behind his brother on every developmental milestone. Poor guy needs to catch a break! I do have to admit he is cuter than his brother but his brother's pretty stinking cute too! Also, dh says he will be able to brag about his "package"size one day to his brother [IMG]Of course guys don't do that!

Hopefully your little guy will catch a break soon!

Oh, poor little guy. I know exactly how you feel. Owen always gets everything! Even though he was bigger at birth--he's got the blocked tear duct, he had jaundice in the hospital, he's sick right now and his brother's just as happy as a clam [IMG].

I hate to see this pattern developing so early, but I hope your little guys (and mine) even out soon!

Aww, poor thing. Watch, he'll probably grow up to be the big, strong, macho guy! Then you'll all sit around laughing about his ails as an infant!

poor little guy!! my 10 yr old is the same way!! if anything happens or is wrong - it is ALWAYS him!!! he had that same hernia repair when he was 6 - it was not that bad and they told us it was even easier
on younger kds. - I do not know why bad things tend to happen to one child over another but it sure is sad [IMG]
