Hello everybody, I enjoyed so much reading all of your birthstories, and I was waiting so strong to write my own birthstory here so strong, and here it is! I HAVE MY TWO HEALTHY BOYS!

I was planning a homebirth through all my pregnancy, because I made good experiences with homebirthing when I delivered my second daughter, and as both twins were head down at all appointments and everything else was also perfect, I thought I´d give it a try, as we also live really close to a hospital.

Well, on Saturday evening last week my midwive came to see me, and as I had the sudden impression, one of my babies had turned around, she had a look and - yep, my little Miro had flipped, one foot in the entrance and the other one in his mouth [IMG] I mean, I was 40 weeks and one day pregnant, I had expected my sons to be here weeks ago, and I didn´t even think babies could move an inch that late...

So, as you can imagine, I was really anxious, though my midwive was great and gave me confidence that if he could turn around that late, maybe he´d turn around a second time, or at least his brother, who was still in the right position, would go first.

Well, Sunday came... and on Sunday night, I went to bed, discussing with Tim, my DH, what to do now and whether we should actually go for a c-sec - which I wanted to avoid the whole time...

And then I woke up at 1.30 at night, with only slight contractions, which I hoped ment my babies were dropping. I couldn´t sleep anymore, so I went into a hot tub, to make the contractions improve. Then I felt I couldn´t relaxe, so I made myself a cup of tea, and because I thought now this could actually be delivery contractions, I called my midwive and started preparing everything - I placed the baby clothes on my desk, heated the room that it was nice and cosy, my husband placed folia below our sheets, and then we waited for the midwive to come and played cards, while my contractions were improving and coming and going. I mean, it was really a strange situation, playing cards, and inbetween always pausing for a contraction, and then continuing the game (and I won [IMG])...

Then I felt the contractions being harder and more painfull, but still something to cope with, so I went into the tub again. It felt as if I was close to pushing, but I tried to avoid it, because I didn´t expect to be that far - I was only two and a half hour in labour then, and Ronja took me 16 hours! - and I still wasn´t sure about their positions, and didn´t want a foot out before my midwive was there.

She arrived at 4 o´clock, and I asked her to look how far I was, and when she told me "10 cm and a head down there" I started crying and laughing at the same time, and then I felt Mehmet´s water breaking, one strong push and out there he was!!! A strong little guy with black long hair and 6 lb and 4 oz (I hope that´s right - he was 3200g and 51 cm, and I´m not sure about the lb/oz thing [IMG]) He was placed on my belly in the tub, and I kissed him hello for five wonderfull minutes, then I screamed for DH Tim to take him away, and - whooosh - another contraction, one time pushing, and there his brother Miro was, feet first but perfectly healthy, slightly smaller with 5 lb and 2 oz (2600g and 50cm).

Well, the placentas came quickly, and I was soooo relieved everything was so healthy and quick and great, I went under the shower, and then I went to bed, nursing my two sons. The whole thing took less than four hours, and my recovery was also very fast - yesterday we were already out the first time, picking up the big sisters from kindergarden.

It is the greatest thing on earth to be a twin mummy, and I love my two cuties. They actually sleep better than I expected (I think they´re still pretty tired [IMG], they are the stars of the family, and I feel like I´m on the phone ore expecting visitors with presents all the time. Nursing takes quite long, because yet they are not on scedule, but actually I enjoy the time sitting in bed with them while they eat and reading out stories to their sisters.

I wanted to thank all of you - this board was so great to me, and I learned so much here. I´m sure I will be in the 1st years board, and also in breastfeeding and maybe in Tripplets and higher, as well [IMG], and I´ll keep looking here, also.
