My next question for all tall babies (stroller)?

    Hi Ladies,

Thank you for posting all of your tall babies! Now, my next question is how many of you are frustrated with stroller?

I still have the older DuoGlider from Graco front/back seats. I used it a lot especially for the summer but now with Winter coming. I sometimes like to take them to the mall to go to the play ground for their freedom.

I am looking for a new stroller mostly like side by side. Any suggestion? Tandem stroller? My husband says, Why buy another one? He does not understand the daily task of getting them in and out of that stroller!

    1. The twins will 15 months toward end of December
    2. Justin tend not to stay in the stroller more than an hour (he's very hyper/active/stubborn at times)
    3. Which stroller would be the good?
    4. Do you all use the stroller between 1 to 4 years old? or do you let them walk beside you?

I know I put them in the cart at grocery/target/wal-mart is not a problem for me. But do you think I should wait until Spring for the new stroller? And continue to use what I have for now since they probably will not get out of the house much during Winter season?

When my boys were about the same age as your twins I began realizing we needed another stroller! We lived in an urban area and I was using my stroller every day without fail. My boys are also quite tall. I ended up splurging on a Mountain Buggy Urban Double and, if I had twins again, I would get this stroller from the beginning! (In fact, I got the single version as this baby's primary stroller). It is WONDERFUL for tall children and I guarantee you will not find an easier stroller to push with older twins. The huge downsides are the price and the weight of the stroller if you plan on hefting it in and out of the car. I kept mine in the garage, mainly, and only loaded it in the car for trips to the zoo, etc... I kept my 'less convenient' stroller in the car for those quick trips.

Oh, and my twins stayed in the stroller until they were about 3.5 - you use the stroller longer with twins than with a single baby (or at least I did!)

ETA: I just realized you are West of Chicago. When I bought the MBUD we were living in Naperville! We walked to the Riverwalk almost daily and I loved it!

When ours were 19 months old I got the Combi Twin Savvy. We had the Duoglider and I just couldn't maneuver it very well due to the combined weight of the kids. We still use the stroller at least once a week. I can't get anything done while I'm out with them if they aren't in the stroller. They are great walkers, but often want to go in different directions or touch stuff they shouldn't. If DH is out with us then usually we let them walk.

I just went to a wagon with seatbelts after the duoglider. We're not really mall people so all my walking was to parks or in the neighborhood or at the zoo. The kids loved it. I've never had to use seatbelts because they were so thrilled with riding in it. We switched at about 27 months.

We are still using the duoglider. It suits me (us) just fine. We go out in it at least 3 times a week & ,much after 2, we won't need it anymore. Although, I'm going to keep them 'strollered' for as long as I can.
    Good luck stroller hunting!

I live in Plainfield area (next door to Naperville). Over this past Summer I take my twins downtown at the Riverwalk Park area. They love the bucket swing and the nice walk too.

With Winter approaching, I belong to a big play group. I am having so much fun with all of the group of Moms and their tots. We usually do play dates 3 times a week and do many indoor/outdoor activities. I am also an organizer for the twins play group and that site has been growing a little more each month.

I probably should stick with the stroller I have for now and will look for a new stroller by Spring. I want something easy to take in/out of the Van, easy to maneuver around the mall, and etc.

But thank you for all of your input!

Have you seen THIS one? It has a recessed center wheel that's supposed to make it so that tall parents don't kick the middle wheel when walking. HTH :)

I have the combi twin savvy and love it!

They just came out with that stroller. It was in the Parenting or Parents magazine for consumer report rating. They are now selling them at BabiesRUs store. I need to go check it out.

But I am going to use what we have with DuoGlider until Spring. This way I'll see how much my twins have grown and will buy a new stroller.
