I have devised a new nickname that I think fits me great. I have only gained 12 lbs total, but I feel like it is diffiuclt to move and I am very slow to move. Last night Fat Slug got stuck in the couch. I yelled for Dh to come rescue me. If he wasn't home I would have had to roll onto the floor. I have been insisting my dh call me by my new name but he was not overly happy to oblige. Now it is our joke and he is calling me this. I am thinking I should change my screen name. Is this a normal feeling in pregnancy? I suppose it is not going to get easier as I grow?
I think it is very normal. I move at a snail's pace now. Last night hubby said I should get rollerskates and in stores I can just hold on to him as he pulls me along lol Dianna
I have gained 30 lbs so far... so I think you are doing okay. It does get harder... especially now that my hips are totally bothering me! Enjoy it while you can!!!!

I had also gained 30 pounds at 27 weeks so you still have a looong way to go. I'm gaining on average 1 pound per week now. It's pure belly in my case, but it doesn't make it any easier because with my small frame I have to carry all that weight, it's really hard, especially when you try to move at night. By 27 weeks people started asking me if I'm ready to deliver! Keep your sense of humor!

I hear you. I've gained 60 lbs. For Halloween my dh and father in law wanted to pull me in our daughter's wagon and dress me as Jabba the Hut from Star Wars. <_<
 I remember the Fat Slug phase.... except I called myself Pizza the Hutt. (Spaceballs reference)
OMG! DH nicknamed me Jabba the Hut, too! :rotflmbo: Although...Pizza the Hut would have been more appropriate!
im about as far along as u are and ive gained 30lbs so far. i need help off the couch, out of a lawn chair, and sometimes out of the car. I still have a while to go so it will be fun to see how big i actually get. I get really tired as well and boy do the stairs kick my but everyday ;-(
oh do enjoy being big when you have a reson to look that way..... once the babies are there and its 6 months later and you still hav not shifted the weight (cos your body is in survival mode!!????) THEN you can complain,LOL
I've put on a whopping 40lbs so far, and while I'm tall so it's kinda distributed around my body, it's still hard to get up, put on socks, get off the toilet, anything. *sigh* I shudder to think about my poor feet and knees at the end of this pregnancy.
