My New Diaper Bag

After reading various posts about what type of diaper bag to get with twins, I realized that I was going to have to have one custom made in order to get EXACTLY what I wanted. I read posts that suggested hiking type backpacks from REI, but I wanted it to be fun and cute too, but I didn't want to spend $150 on some of the trendier bags...based on another twin mom's (from this site) recommendation, I had my diaper bag made by this woman...she does lots of different styles.

I picked out the fabrics, and had her completely custom make this bag for me. I wanted it to be a boxy/tailored backpack (I won't exactly have lots of extra hands/arms to hold onto a bag!), but to also have a detachable shoulder strap so it can be more versatile and can hang on the stroller.

She charged me $65 plus shipping...and considering that most of the cuter bags from Babies R Us are $50, I figured that getting exactly what I want (both in terms of style and function) was worth the extra money.

Anyway, here it is. I haven't gotten it yet, but you can tell that it is fantastic construction (and other moms have vouched for that).

That bag looks awesome. I could have really used that when my twins were little! And $65 is a fantastic price. The JuJuBe bags that look similar to your custom one are $150 or more.

I have a HUGE diaper bag, but I have three kiddos stuff to carry around.

looks great! i just bought one from target made by eddie bauer. it's neutral, big messanger style bag so that daddy wouldn't feel uncomfortable carrying it around!

That is a really cute bag!!! I have a Juicy Couture (very big bag w/changing pad &burping cloth-4 spaces for bottles-plce for wet items-2 big zipper pockets-2 spaces for cell phone & personal items-and lots of inside room as well-long shoulder straps) Reg. price $298.00..I won off Ebay for $57.00..I love it!

 

LOVE IT! I had mine custom made as well. My lady did two diaper bags but put a zipper on them so the attach when we're all out together but if we separate for any reason the diaper bag comes apart too, so each baby has their own!

Shelley is great, isn't she? I have one from her that I love!!! It's big enough for all the baby stuff and extras that I need for my girlies and then some. I wish I'd had it when the girlies were little... but maybe in pink. This one is a great blue and brown swirl, with ribbon. Darling for a boy, but cute enough for me. I love how she works with you to find just the right fabrics, even if you're finicky like me, LOL!
