So.....I know it's only been 6 weeks since I dleivered but....wow, MY BODY! YUCK.

Before I got pregnant I was about 125/130lbs and a size 4ish. I gained a good amount of weight while pregnant, I think I topped out close to 180lbs. Six weeks later, I'm almost back to 130 without even excercising but geesh louise.....my body is TOTALLY different. I had to go pants shopping and could not even fit into a juniors size 11!!!! Not to mention my horrid stretch marks and pooch above my incision but my hips are wider, my boobs are starting to deflate and I just look......icky. Hmmm.....will my body ever be normal again or is this the new normal? I officially have a mom's body now I guess :D One thing I am glad about though is that my facial skin discoloration has pretty much gone away....I really hated that!

Ok, I just had to vent....

Give it a little longer, don't buy a whole new wardrobe just yet. I was back into my pre-preg clothes a couple weeks after delivery but my body is still getting back into shape.

I also lost most of the weight after about 1 month. My hips took about 4 months to go back to "normal". Hang in there, it will come !!

At 6 weeks I had lost most of the weight but couldn't fit into any pp clothes. Now at 14 weeks I've lost 15 pounds more and my hips have finally found their original home. My tummy is better but probably won't ever be flat until I really do some crunches etc. Just give it time...it will happen.

i agree the weight just melts off, but it takes a while for your shape to come back....i'm still trying to get there, too, but i find myself more similar to "me" lately....so hang in there, it'll come

Don't go buy all new clothes yet!! It takes a lot of time for things to get back to "semi-normal".

I'm at the smallest weight I've ever been but things do NOT fit right!! I dont' think I'll ever have the body I'd love to have!! But Oh well..we are moms now!

just remember it took 9 months to develop that wonderful preggo self - it does take several months to get back to "normal"

    Hi Melissa,

Just wanted to say I can relate. I was fitting into prepreggo clothes after two weeks and have lost all of the weight. My tummy needs some exercise and when I'm done bfing, I look forward to my tops fitting better and my back not hurting. It seems like time helps. My tummy has gone down a lot in the last month. I'm sure you look a lot better than you think ;) .

Yep, you need more time...the jeans that I bought around 4-6 weeks postpartem, that were tight at the time, fall off me now., can't even wear them...I'd say 3 months minimum!

I agree with the others, you need more time. And you may end up losing all your pregnancy weight but your body may never be the same as a result of being pregnant.

I am also extremely anxious to get my body back! Right before I got pregnant I was on a program where you only eat natural food and was feeling great because I had lost 18 pounds! My diet went out the window of course when I found out about the twins. I went back to eating mostly only natural foods but it's been hard because I'm stressed and sleep deprived. I am now 7 lbs away from being what I was when I got pregnant but I hate this poochy belly I have and I know my butt is bigger than it used to be. I had a C-Section and everytime I've worked out I've had to take a break the next day because my stomach gets sore so fast. I fit into my "fat jeans" but I still have a tummy in my regular ones.

DH keeps telling me that I'm doing great for having had twins so recently but I'm really impatient!!!! I can't wait until I'm able to workout everyday!!!

    BOOO!!!

I want my weight to melt off! My PP weight was between 135 and 140 and I was about a size 6/8 comfortablly, and during my pregnancy I gained 60 lbs. Well six weeks later I'm 30 lbs down and I had to go out and get a pair of pants (I was tired of wearing sweats) and had to get a size 12!!!

So I need to figure out why I can't get down to my PP weight. BOO!! I am still 30 lbs over my PP weight and I hate it.

I like the rest of you guys have the c-section pooch and none and I do mean NONE of my PP clothes fit... it's so depressing especially with the holidays coming around and all I have is sweats and one pair of size 12 jeans...

This is so sad I read that everyone can loose their PP weight and I'm not ...double boo!!! Ok that was my pity party rant. :)
