This is kinda of funny (maybe only to me) but at the same time fustrating ...

My boys have GYNORMUS feet!!! I mean clodhopper feet!! HUGE!! Did I tell you they had big feet?

They just turned 10 months and are walking so I thought... SHOE TIME!

I go to stride rite to get measured and to get my twin discount :) . So the lady comes up with her very scientific shoe measuring tool and she measured Noah first... 5 1/2 Wide. She starting laughing and said "he's only 10 months right?" and of course I said Yes and she laughed and said he had big feet. So then we get Jonah set up ....6 XTRA WIDE! same conversation happens again...

Basically my little stumblers (I really can't say it's 'walking', they more or less look like they've had one to many and they sorta stumble around) have the size of a 2 year old kid!!! So guess what they fit into? Toddler hard soled shoes... they look hilarious these little things with monster shoes on!?!? I about lost it laughing when they tired to walk in them. I wished I had a video of it, it was priceless.

Needless to say we didn't get any shoes... because i'm figuring at this rate, by christmas they'll be wearing my husbands shoes and they can just use his!

    :)

That is hilarious!!! I would have loved to see that. My 2 1/2 year old DD wears a 6 1/2 so yeah your little ones do have some big feet. Hope you have more luck next time buying shoes.

Oh, so cute. Memories. Ben's first pair of shoes at around that age, was a size 5 1/2 XW at Stride Rite. I too remember them being so huge for his little body. He still has a hard time with shoes. They are so big he just can't seem to walk well in them. He is always falling down! And he has been walking for over two years!

Too funny!!! My girls can finally wear size 5s (they are big, but better too big than too small!).

LOL! I have the opposite problem, my girls are still in a 0 - 6 month size. I didn't know Stride Rite did a twin discount?! I'm going to have to go check it out!

I think the salesperson was exaggerating a bit. We didn't bother with shoes until the weather changed so they were 14 months then. They measured 5 narrow and nobody said anything about the 5... just that toddler boys aren't supposed to have narrow feet  They wore a 7 at age 2 and are in a 9 1/2 now.

Oh, poop on the saleswoman! LOL! Owen (who is 8 now) wears a MENS size 5. (that's a UK size, so in US sizes, I'm not sure at all.) He is a big dude-he's always been big! My feet are wide, and so are his. My Mom used to tell me I could "wear the box easier than the shoe!"

    Heeheee. Baby Feet rock!
