Braxton Michael and Caleb Riley were born on June 17, 2007
    5lb8oz, 4lb10oz @35w 6days

Both are in NICU until some time next week they predict as feeders/growers

I went in for my last appointment the Saturday before my scheduled C-Section date (Tuesday 6/19). Funny thing is, I had no reason to be there other than paranoia. I just called and made the appointment without my peri even knowing. Well, turns out the boys hadn't grown in a week and my peri really wanted them out as soon as possible. My husband said she was overreacting and that if they HAD to be out, she would have sent me right to the hospital. I listened to him and we went home. Two hours later, I couldn't shake the feeling I was having so I called and told them I want to deliver the next day. My doctor was not on call and the on call doctor was ectrememly rude to me on the phone, repeating over and over that "this is not an emergency, you're just nervous". Finally she told me to go in to L&D for testing and she would see what she could do.

They were able to contact my doctor and she actually cancelled her Father's Day out of town plans to do my delivery that Sunday. I was so thrilled (and terrified)

The surgery was a breeze! I can't believe all the stress I put myself under leading up to it. It was really an ejoyable procedure. Now the recovery...sucking pretty bad! Surprisingly, during the last week of my pregnancy, the twins began to develop TTTS so my decision not to waut turned out to be the best one. Motherly instinct kicks in pretty fast, huh?!

I cannot believe that they're actually here! I have never felt love like this before in my life! To all the preggers out there, believe me-16 weeks of bed rest, 3 hospital stays, PTL, heartburn, carpal tunnel, peeing every two hours, exhaustion, ALL of it is so worth having those babies finally in your arms. At that point, the rest is history. Hang in there, girls!!!

Congratulations on your baby boys! I am glad to hear the c-section wasn't so bad. Hope the recovery gets better soon for you. :hug99: Please post some pics of your babies when you get a chance. We would love to see them.

Congrats!!! How cool that they arrived on Father's Day. My two were almost exactly the same weights as yours when they arrived at 35 weeks....such good weights, but they seem so tiny, don't they?

I hear ya on the C-section -- I had a similar experience, with the surgery itself not so bad, but the recovery -- OY.

Rest up while the munchkins are in the NICU, and I'll see you over at First Year!
