Alice has this lovely new habit of sticking her finger up her nose, then eating (slurping and going "Mmmmmm") the booger off of it.

    :rotflmbo:

While I'm trying to not encourage the habit, I really don't want her to run around touching her brain all day long. . .Any suggestions?

My girls have their fingers up their nose all the time, but they have yet to eat their own boogies. I am sure its coming! Hopefully it is just a short lived phase.

There is an actual scientific study that proves that the kids that do eat their own boogers actually have a higher immunity. It is in the everybody poops series. So maybe they were just boosting his immunity!

My 2yo princess thinks that farting on people is the greatest thing ever, shell even get all sweet and ask up mommy please I fall for it and pick her up she rips one and just cracks herself up. My older boys now warn her no farting when they pick her up.

hahahahaaa, so my lack of breastfeeding has been supplemented by booger eating for her immunity boost.

OMG  I would just ignore her or tell her to take her fingers out of her nose. I think the more you make a big deal out of it, the more she'll do it. I also have a darling lil one who thinks its HYSTERICAL to 'toot' on mommy during diaper changes. ICK!

 Mine like to stick their fingers up the nose but they don't eat anything yet. DH and I don't make a big deal about it, we might just say in low voice, "Ooh, that's not polite."
They don't do it as much as they used to!

    Time?

I said over and over again not to do that. Certain times of the year here the air is extremely dry and we also had nose bleed issues, so picking agravated it. Threats of getting a bloody nose only made them learn to hide their picking. The finally stopped. I think it was pre-school peer pressure that finally got to them. It seems like all you can do is wait it out.

My DD likes to put her fingers up her nose then suck on her fingers ugh! Luckily she´s not doing it that often and nothing is coming out stuck to her finger. Oh now Ive read all your posts, I just cant wait to experience all of that! Oh the joys of motherhood!

Mine does this too. Eww - it's gross. I just tell him not to eat his boogies but it hasn't really worked yet.
