Okay, so these babies are just not wanting to come out. I am at 9 months and 1 week and still at 2cm 80% effaced. I have been walking, going up and down my stairs, squatting, doin all sorts of stuff to help the process...yeah right... and nothing. They are chillin and refuse to leave my 5 star accomodations. Can't blame them really... But if they don't come out by Thursday on their own which is what i want and prefer, my induction is set for Thursday at 1am. How brutal, they don't even let me get a full night's sleep the night before. (not that I will be able to sleep...) So, this is, what I've been wanting... a date. I've been wanting to meet them and for them to get out already just because my poor body can't take it but now, I am freakin out a little. This is my first pregnancy, and though I am up for the challenge, I am really (i hate this word...) scared of the unknown. I have an awsome God though who will see me through. I am banking on the verse where it promises He will be strong when I am weak. It melts my heart to know I will finally meet the boys that have made me fall in love at no sight.

You will be fine! And who knows, maybe you will go sooner. Even though you are scared, your faith will get you through. How exciting! Lisa

wow, past 9 months? don't hear that too often. My doc told me that if I made it to 38 weeks than she would just go ahead and induce labor.

I did end up having that done and the inducing medicine didn't work with me. I laid in bed for 10 hours waiting for something to happen, nothing. they eventually broke my water for me, then it all started happening within seconds of that breakage.

good luck, you'll be meeting your babies soon enough!!

Wow, i'm surprised your OB let you get to 9months with twins. I haven't heard that often.
You'll be just fine. I had an induction with DD1 and none of the issues commonly associated with that. My labor progressed very quickly, no drugs, and went great! I hope the same for you!:hug99:

You are absolutely right, God will see you through this. He will keep you strong and you will be fine. It is scary to think about but when you are in it, it is like you enter another world and everything swirls together. It goes by faster than you ever feel like it could and pretty soon you will be holding your precious little babies and thanking God so much for this wonderful gift he has entrusted you with. It is alright to be scared, but it is the most natural thing in the world -and you have the best help ever, God and the dr's he has also entrusted with his baby-you. Keep us updated, and I will keep you in my prayers.

9 months 1 week????? Do you mean 41 weeks or are you counting by lunur months which would be 37 weeks? I just can't comprehend the Dr's letting you go to 42 weeks. Anyways, either way good luck and you'll be seeing your little ones very soon :)

Nope, if you go by the calander, 40 weeks is actually about 9 months 5 days (since there is usually more than 28 days in a month).
