My Girls will be Four

    I can hardly believe my babies are going to be four tomorrow. We're having a Scooby Doo party and the girls are so excited. Nicole's request was to play pin the tail on the donkey, and Jamie just can't wait to see her Scooby Doo cake. We're having 17 adults and 6 kids over. This will be the first year we're actually playing kids games and having a kids table. I'm SOOO excited too. Four is such a milestone. They start preschool two full days a week in the fall and we just went in to meet their Junior Kindergarten teacher this week. When did all this happen? I'm having very mixed emotions. I hope I make it through the party without any noticable weeping. :( :) :eek:

    It's one of those bitter/sweet occassions. Bitter may not be the right word but you kwim. I think 4 is an amazing year for a child. They aren't really babies anymore but they are still so young and sweet and awesome. If you cry at the party, so what. Don't feel like you have to hold yourself back from feeling some unbelievable and overwhelming emotions. I'm sure EVERYONE will understand. I wish you the best of luck at their birthday party. Sounds like it will A LOT of fun!! Congrats on making it through 4 amazing years!!!

    Its is a sad but exciting moment. My girls just turned 4 last month and I wonder where the time has gone. I really enjoyed their birthday party. They had so much fun and felt so special. Each girl got the cake they wanted and had their friends over. It does go by very quick. Its their party but you can cry if you want to mom!!

    :hug99: I Totally understand how you feel. I always get so weepy around their birthdays. It is just unbelievable to me how FAST the years fly by. I hope you have a Wonderful day celebrating! HAPPY BIRTHDAY to your kiddos!!
