My girls have arrived.

Well I had a scheduled C-Section set for October 29th but the girls decided they wanted to make their grand entrance earlier. It started on October 15th when I noticed I was having some discomfort in my lower back and lower abdomen. I really didn't pay too much attention to it because it didn't really feel like a contraction. I went to bed that night at about 11:00 and at about 1:30 I was having pretty bad contractions about every 4 min. The contractions were getting worse and worse so I decided to go L&D at about 3:30. They got me in a room and hooked me up to all the monitors and by the time I got there I was contracting every 2 min and the intensity was much worse. They tried to stop my labor but I was still contracting and so doc decided that October 16th was the day. I couldn't believe that I was going to have my little girls that day and I was also scared because I was only 35 weeks 1 day. I was prepped for C-Section and at 10:15a.m. little Sydney Elise was born weighing 5lbs 1oz and 18 inches long and one min later at 10:16a.m. Karlie Ann appeared weighing 5lbs 13oz and 18.5 inches long. Sydney did perfect and needed no NICU time at all, but Karlie was quite blue and having some difficulty keeping her oxygen sats up. Karlie was taken to the NICU right away and I was not able to see her in recovery at all. Everything is great now she only had to stay in the NICU for 4 days and we are all home happy and healthy. Life with twins has been great but quite challenging at times with a 20 month old toddler and a 7 year old boy also. We love our girls so much. Here are some pictures

I'm guessing from their hair color that they are not identical They are just ADORABLE!!! Congratulations!! What a belssing you have there. Beautiful family and you look WONDERFUL as well!

As far as I know they are fraternal just by looking at them. I can't believe how different they look. I just love them so much!!
