my girls favorite car toy for about a year now

Last summer my friend and I brought the girls to New Orleans for the day. You know how babies get in the car after awhile so we were doing things to entertain them and we came up with a new toy that the girls still play with! An empty water bottle with coins inside. Take a small water bottle that they can get a good grip on and put 3 or 4 pennies in it, screw the cap back on. This has provided my girls hours of entertainment in the car and is the only toy that has lasted this long!

Thanks for the tip Aimee! So funny the things that they find fascinating. The 'non-toy' items are usually the best!

Another thing you can do is get a bunch of small toys that fit in the mouth of the bottle, like buttons, barbie shoes, mini cars, erasers, and put 25 or so in the bottle, fill it the rest of the way with salt, glue the lid on and voila! New toy that you can shake and see little toys.

Wow...Thanks for sharing. I often forget that toys don't have to be toys. I'll have to remember your water bottle toy when our girls are able to hold on to things.
