Both of my girls have been sick since Friday. Allison has an ear infection, and Sarah a throat infection. Apparently, they have a stomach virus too. Sarah threw up twice yesterday, ate nothing (she did drink some pedialyte) and ran a fever nearly all day. Allison was fine yesterday, started feeling bad during church, then after her nap, she had a fever and has thrown up probably six times; the last being in her bed about 10 minutes ago. I swear I have washed every towel in this house, three blankets, and I've had to change my own clothes three times because I've held her most of the day and of course, she's thrown up on me. I have no phenigren(sp?) to give her and she's thrown up her motrin and antibiotic every time we've given it to her. She even threw up all the pedialyte she's had. Needless to say, I'm worried and may be taking her to the ER if she continues to vomit and run a fever.

I feel for you. We had a day last year when three out of four kids were puking at once. It wasn't pretty. Between the clothes, towels, sheets, blankets, etc... that I had to wash all day and night, I was miserable.
Hope they get to feeling better soon.

Sorry I didn't see your post yesterday. Are they feeling better, did you have to go to the ER? I hope everyone feels better soon.

Oh Rachel! I am so sorry they are sick! Can you get some tylenol suppositories to help with the fever? I think they are called Feverall or something like that. They sell them at the drugstore. I have used those when they have been that sick, at least they can't throw it up. I also have used Cola syrup, which has helped their nausea.

I hope they are feeling better soon!!

DH was throwing up all day today so now I am preparing for the twins to get it.

There was a 4-5 day period last year where we all had the flu. First Carlie threw up a couple of times, then the next night Claire threw-up once. That same night DH started in...he was so bad we had to take him to the ER to be re-hydrated. Then the next night Emily had it even worse, but didn't require a trip to the ER, and then me. It was bad. I am preparing for something similar now, but really hoping it is staying contained to him.

I'm so sorry! I don't know if you've tried these or not, but they sell a suppository fever reducer, it's called Feverall. It comes in 2 different doses, one for 3 and under and one for over 3. It's the only thing that works with my little one when she's got the pukeys and a fever. HTH!

We didn't go to the ER, but I had to take them both back to the doctor today. Sarah now has a yeast infection, and Allison has gotten worse, she has an ear infection in both ears and a throat infection. They ended up giving her a shot and Phenigren gel for the vomiting. If she's not loads better by tomorrow, we go back for another shot. My husband and I both have been vomiting all day. I think it is the flu, which sucks since we both had a flu shot this year and it's really bad. I'm just now feeling good enough to sit up. I thought I was going to die taking them to the doctor. It was all I could do to not throw up while I was there. The only one who hasn't gotten the sickness is my son, who just happened to be at grandma's all weekend. We're trying to quaranteen him but he's had to be our gopher, bless his soul. I don't know what we would have done without his help.

Anyway, thanks for all the thoughts, hopefully tomorrow will be somewhat normal. THank goodness school is supposed to be out for bad weather.
