My girls are here!

On tuesday at my per appointment, the doc mentioned to me that he will speak to my OB about scheduling a c-section because the babies were still breech, they mentioned that baby B was weighing only 4.9, but when i questioned them about the low weight and not too much gain they didnt seem to concerned, well they told the OB a different story and when i went on Wed. my doc said that they wanted to do a c-section the next day on thursday, so all though i had 8 months to know that these girls were coming, i went into a slight panic that all of a sudden they were coming tomorrow, and that baby B might be so small.
I went in on Thursday for the c-section, i was more nervous at home worrying about how things were going to go then I was while i was getting prepped. Baby A was born at 2:01 weighing 5.7 oz and baby B was pulled out a minute later at 5.1 ozs, so the peri had been off on the measurements, but the babies were going to come out sooner or later anyhow,
They ended up spending their first day in the NICU becuase they missed the 5.9 cutoff to go straight to the regular nursery, in a way i was glad that they got to spend their first day with some extra attention and that gave me a chance to recuperate.
SO now the fun has begun! both babies seem to be sleeping well, we are still trying to figure out the nursing thing, getting them to stay awake through a nursing, making sure they are both happy and well fed etc.
