I haven't done it but my family strongly believes this {It's an old tradition} . I don't think it grows back thicker, I think it's the angle that it grows back after being shaved makes it look thicker. Does that make sense? :)

We have baldies too. DS is getting a little more hair and it is curly when wet, so I think he'll take after his momma but I get so jealous of those babies wtih a full head of hair!!

I have a friend w/a little girl almost 9 months old, and she was pretty bald at birth. Now though, she has a little tuft of hair right towards the front and it's so cute b/c sometimes it's like a little curl. I can't relate too much, my boys were born w/full heads of hair and it grows so fast! They've had 4 haircuts already and are due for another one, and they're not even a year old yet!!! They get it from their father I think! So I guess an upside is at least you don't have to pay for a bunch of haircuts yet. ;)

It just shows off their perfectly shaped heads. Put one of those cute headbands with a bow on it on their little heads or put one of those sticky bows in it. They're perfect just the way they are. By the same token, the boys are 11 months old and they still don't have much hair. Our friend has her first grandson and when they sent me his hospital pictures - you could have braided that hair. It's the longest thickest hair I have ever seen on a baby - male or female. They came to visit when he was two months old and that hair is so far over his ears and literally hanging down the back of his neck. If they wait to cut it until he is a year old I think he could send it to locks for love.

????????WHAT?????????? Do people actually shave their babies heads??? Mine are bald and I wouldn't go near them with a razor. They are perfect. We have their all our lives to worry about looks...I'm certainly not going to start worrying for my girls this early. And seriously, they are the most beautiful things I have ever seen. I wouldn't change a thing about them.

My older DS was bald until almost 14 months, and the twins are now losing their hair on top.....I'm afraid they will be bald too. Oh well....I guess DH and I just make bald babies! I don't think shaving thier heads will do anything but make them more bald, I would just enjoy their shiny little heads just like they are!

My niece was pretty bald but they keep trimming the hair she had and it did seem to look thicker and longer by age 2. Good luck!

Mine are baldies and sadly everywhere we go people think I have 2 boys. For some reason a bald baby means boy to so many people. Ugggg

I do not think I would shave her head though, then she would be even balder. :)

On the plus side, if they spit up, it is easy to clean!

my girls were born with tons of hair and were bald until about 5 months. Now they've got lots of hair again!

Dont' worry, they will NOT be bald forever!

If it makes you feel any better, mine have always had tons of hair, and DD's is longer than DS's, and STILL everyone we run into says, "Oh, two boys?" (And that's also even when DD is in pink. )

I think bald babies are adorable, btw! :)

Yup in a pink dress and with pierced ears I get 2 boys. Some people!

I love my baldies just as they are! Like I said it makes cleaning the cereal off them a lot easier!

I wouldn't shave their heads...from the little pictures in your ticker, it looks like they have a bit of hair...not totally bald. Remember, they're only 4 months old and it has plenty of time to grow. ;)

My sister's in-laws are indian and they always shave the baby's head even when there is a decent amount of hair. I don't think it would be a horrible thing to do...but I'd do it well before age 1... my sister's SIL shaved her dd's head at age 1, and honestly I thought she went from being a cute, somewhat bald baby...to looking like a cancer patient. I think it's less noticable if you do it earlier. And if it's any consolation, you can see from my ticker that my baby girl has TONS of hair... and people still don't have a clue that she's a girl. I don't think it makes much of a difference hair vs. no hair on that issue!

I have heard that shaving their heads to make the hair grow back thicker and faster is an old wives tale anyways... My girls have hair, but they have bald Circles in the back of their head...I think I would prefer them just to be bald. I also think Baldies are adorable!!
